Guest guest
At 7 years old in 1961 I had a bad reaction to a " regular " allergy shot. I turned red all over started shaking, couldn't breathe at all and passed out. They didn't have epipen's in the covered wagon days but they did had an epinephrine shot which did the trick. I went home afterward. Back then there were NO inhalers except the over the counter squeeze bulb asthma nefrin inhalers that my doctor told me NOT to use. These were the for runners of the Primatine Mist. When my father was growing up all they had were " asthma powders. " He said that it came in a can and you would pour some out, light it and breathe in the smoke. Also, mullen plant was smoked. Several years ago, I bought some mullen from a health food store and tried it. yuck! It was nasty and didn't work at all. I sure am blessed to living in a day and age when we have better drugs to help in our fight to breathe/ Doug group founder
