Cancer risk and Xolair

Does anyone have any resources to learn more about cancer with Xolair?

Carol,

I haven't heard anything. I have to be on a research database later this week

for work; I can check and see if there are any peer reviewed journal articles

that I can access. I believe the manufacturer is due to

deliver a longitudinal study of reported side effects some time in the spring.

I went ahead and did a search on the database I have access to and did not turn

up any journal articles on omalizumab and cancer. I found a fair amount of

studies supporting its " safety and tolerability. " Of course, it's only been

available for 7 years, and their may be studies in progress that have yet to be

published.

Thanks, Doug, I appreciate the information. I remember being told when I first

started the shots that there was a slightly greater risk of cancer but that it

hadn't been around long enough to really know. I just wondered if there was any

newer information. I appreciate your reply.
