Guest guest
I've been getting xolair injections for the past two years, it's going well. I make no plans afterwards for within a couple hours I am feeling flushed, almost low grade feverish, and sleep really hard for a few hours. I've mentioned this to the doctor who says this is not a side effect. Does anyone else feel this way after injection? joyv
Guest guest
I believe your doctor is incorrect when he says it's not a side effect. It's probably not a " reported " side effect from the clinical trial but that doesn't mean it can't affect people the way it has you. In fact, I believe there are a few people in this forum who have post similar experiences. Perhaps you could search previous posts to find similar symptoms. Otherwise, maybe someone will follow up on your question with a similar experience. I have heard of this in the past. Thankfully, the only effect that Xolair has had on me is greatly improving my ability to breathe. I'm ohhh sooo thankful for Xolair! Guest guest
We've had a fair number of folks report the sleepiness, but in most cases (as I remember) that wears off after a few shots. You can ask your doctor or health insurance provider for hte name and phone number of the specialty pharmacy through which you get Xolair and call and speak to a pharmacist there. (I've done it before). Talk with them about it since your doc is not responsive to your concern about this.
