Guest guest
Thank you Meagin, Doug, Tricia and Addy, How kind of all of you to reply so quickly.Your support is priceless. I think I will just get it. I do have a nebulizer at home, but the xopenix just isn't cutting it. Dr.'s office adds pulmicort and one other thing called an excellerant (geez, that can't be spelled right),and this works very well. I hopeful, excited and scared. Will let you know how it goes, thanks again. Marilyn
Guest guest
Good luck! My blood pressure is always high right before I get my injections. Doesn't matter how many times I've been or how relaxed I am. I still am nervous, who knows. It goes down each check after that. Guest guest
At my last appointment, I " flunked " my breathing tests and then they gave me my Xolair, as scheduled. I think if we had to have great peak flows before getting Xolair nobody would ever get to be on it. After all, it is for those of us with the hard to control asthma. Breathe easy, hun. > > Thank you Meagin, Doug, Tricia and Addy, How kind of all of you to reply so quickly.Your support is priceless. > I think I will just get it. Guest guest
Tricia, you were 100% right, I looked up to see what my blood pressure was and oh my gosh, it was SO high. I wasn't just nervous, I was super nervous. But it came and went, and hopefully in a few months, I will get over it. Thanks, Marilyn > > Good luck! Guest guest
, You are right on about the good peak flow readings! I did go get a breathing test and was I wired when I got to the hospital. I was surprised that they only wanted me to stay 30 minutes after my first injection. I asked if I could stay an hour, as I kinda remembered reading some posts here about how long you should stay on your first shot. Actually thought it should be two hours, but they were ready to close up when I left. Took from 1:45 to 4:45. Just feel really tired. Long day, glad it went well. Guest guest
I'm happy that it went well! I was always really tired after my shots at first. That did go away after awhile. I don't know if it was from the Xolair itself or from my own excitement level. I'd rather be tired than out of breath, so I don't really care. haha Breathe well, my friend. > > > > At my last appointment, I " flunked " my breathing tests and then they gave me my Xolair, as scheduled. Guest guest
, Funny how most folks don't even think of going outside and walking around when the wind is blowing. It is a curse to have this disease, and I will be so happy to be able to kinda live like a normal person. Later last night I went from tired to hyper, blood pressure went up way higher than normal. Wonder if it was that high powered breathing treatment I took. I am more worried about having a reaction that keeps me from getting these shots than anything else right now. All this support from everyone has made me feel very welcome, like a part of the " group " . Thank you, Marilyn From: cleptisvirgo@...
