scared. So after the bronch I did better for a while active stayed on allergy

meds and did advair.... So then flee bite came and opened a new can of worms

again. My doctor said time for XOlair...I was still scared but the aniticipation

of the shot was more painful then the actual shot. I did not get any severe

side effects to it but a mild headache and got really tired. now my question is

I am prone to migranes..Is this shot going to effect me that way? SO I started

the shot yesterday .....Today my brother and I drove along the Gulf of Mexico

for 2 hours NO ASTHMA REACTION...105 HEAT INDEX.what so ever....So now I can

start to to get my life back....THIS IS AWSOME.... THANK YOU FOR ADVICE....

Tina,

The shots that effect the immune system are the ones for arthritis and

psoriasis. My doctor wants me to take them too but I refused for just this

reason. I have been on Xolair just under 7 years and I hardly ever have any

infections.

Tina - Xolair takes weeks to months for you to realize the true benefits of it,

so the fact that you got your shot one day and didn't have a reaction the very

next day is nothing more than coincidence. I'm glad you're feeling better, but

I didn't want someone else reading this who is considering Xolair treatment to

think that they should expect an over-night response such as you've described.

It's just not how Xolair works.

To answer your question about migraines, I have suffered from migraine with aura

for almost 15 years and have noticed no difference in the intensity or frequency

of my headaches, and no change in whether or not I experience aura, since I

started the Xolair. Mind you this is my own personal experience, but that's all

I know. I have not read anything indicating that migraines get worse on Xolair

and my allergist knew I had migraines when I started it two years and never

mentioned any connection.
