Jan--yes indeedy there is always something and nothing like being on 2 black box

drugs which can kill you or cause anaphlyxsis.

Kinda keeps what is important in life in check doesn't it?

I thought it was old news....I've known about the salmeterol and the AdVair for

almost as long as I have been taking the AdVair and that is at least ten

years!  Guess like you say, the FDA just decided to come out with a stronger

warning????

I have been thinking about discussing all of my meds with my doctor when I see

him this Friday.....Just to review each of them....

Good advice....always discuss meds with your doctor....

Er, is it me, or is this NOT new information. It's just that the FDA is finally

taking a firmer hand.

LABAs have been controversial for a long time. My understanding for some time is

that they should not be used without the accompanying inhaled corticosteroid.

Regardless, anyone of us who is on a LABA should make sure to discuss this

information with his or her prescribing physician.
