Guest guest
thanks for the update my asthma dr in NY said it's old news. He reminded me we had this convo several years ago, the issue is just resurfacing. Resurfacing or not, it's good to put the info out there to inform people. Thank you for sending the link. That being said, I also got this in my email this AM, same topic http://www.everydayhealth.com/fda/fda-urges-safe-use-of-asthma-meds.aspx?xid=nl_\ EverydayHealthAsthmaandAllergies_20100221 > > Here is a new article about asthma and advair and other inhalers just released. Guest guest
Er, is it me, or is this NOT new information. It's just that the FDA is finally taking a firmer hand. LABAs have been controversial for a long time. My understanding for some time is that they should not be used without the accompanying inhaled corticosteroid. Regardless, anyone of us who is on a LABA should make sure to discuss this information with his or her prescribing physician.
