Hello,

My Pulm doctor has been talking with me about Xolair but I am concerned about

anaphylaxis occurring when I'm home alone with my twin 16 month olds.

I'm currently taking advair 500, Qvar (2nd steroid inhaler), singulair,

claritin, albuterol neb daily, pepcid, calcium all for asthma. Unfortunately

have pneumonia again for the 4th time in the last 15 months. I take prednisone

tapers occasionally (now).

After yet another trip to the ER Friday I am starting to think this drug might

be worth the risk. I live in Alabama (grew up in Kenai) and am allergic to

everything outside and a lot of the typical indoor stuff too. My ige level was

around 800.

I'm wondering what I can expect and how often " y'all " hear about reactions to

the medication?

Thanks!

Darcy
