Guest guest
My allergist will not do Xolair under Medicare unless I pay the whole amount ahead of time and seek reimbursement myself, which I could never afford. Currently, I am getting it through my husband's employer-sponsor health plan. Like one of the other members mentioned, my concern is that if Xolair is a drug, as opposed to a treatment, it would fall in the donut hole and again be out of my reach once I retired. I just don't know how to research this, and I guess, when the time comes, I will have to find a new allergist. His fees, paid up front, would be about $350 a month on top of the cost of medication. And of course, no one knows what will happen over the next couple of years. Carol
