Guest guest
Fred, you twit, Tonya is on the POLP list. She's the one with little Knoah. Tonya, I agree though with Alyce and the others (and Fred mostly). Please stay. As you've learned, the dwarfism list is more raucous and I'm looking for other adjectives ... Anyway, as a veteran of the dwarfism list, from the 1990's when it was only one, one of the main reasons why it makes sense for the parent list (POLP) to exist is so there's a safe place for parents, esp. new ones, to discuss things without having to worry about offending anyone. Of course there are brouhahas on POLP as well, most likely because it's electronic and not in person, but they happen way less often. If you look at the archives of the dwarfism list, I'm guessing one could see a pattern ... I mean as soon as one sees certain kinds of new posts, one can kind of predict some of the responses (and from whom). Sometimes it's related to it being a hot issue (genetic testing, religion, the value of membership in LPA for dwarf adulst and/or certain tv shows ...), sometimes it's the phrasing. You can see that a bit on the POLP list too but the predictable stuff tends to be supportive things to new parents. I like the cross-fertilization of having AH parents on the dwarfism list and a few (well-behaved) non-parental dwarf adults and an assortment of us dwarf parents on POLP. For what it's worth, there's a list that's even more raucous (Adult-LP) Hope everyone has a peaceful week, remember it's MLK Jr's birthday in a couple days, his real one. **************Start the year off right.
