34 yr old wanting to drive....needs input on peddle extensions and so much more!!

I'm 34 and I have been seriously considering getting my drivers license. I know

a van would be more comfortable and easily accessible for my wheelchair but I

think a compact (small) car would be easier for me to drive (especially being a

1st time driver). I guess the only thing I worry about that is how do I get my

wheelchair in the trunk if Im on my own when most trunks are about as tall

(high) as me.

Well, my biggest concern in either case is peddle extensions. For safety

reasons, Id rather not put blocks down there but I would like to have something

that if my husband (who is 5'8) wants to drive the car, that we could remove

them with ease.

Im in KY if anyone knows what to do or who to see.
