Guest guest
Hi, Its true it has been all quiet on the xolair front. Humidity and rain does me in way more than extreme cold. A rainy day can set me back for days. I'm not sure why. I would think mold would take a while to grow. ________________________________ From: ronaldcrpntr <cowtrail@...> Sent: Sun, January 24, 2010 3:22:09 PM Subject: [ ] Rain/ Humidity I haven't heard from the group lately, just missed everybody. We have had a lot of rain in Oklahoma and it seems to mess with my breathing big time. The only thing I can figure out is it brings out the molds? Does the rain/high humidity negatively impact anybody else? I'm " better " with the Xolair, but it is still a problem. Guest guest
In 2006 I moved from Alsaka to South Carolina as the cold dry air of the north supposedly was not good for me and the doctor suggested a warm moist environment. My asthma went from something that bothered me twice a year to a trip to the ER every month. I lived on pred...so much so that I damaged my eyes. I moved back to AK and my internist here mentioned Xolair. It has made a huge difference. The cold (let's say zero and below) does make my lungs twitch, but I'll take that as long as I can retain my vision and the spots don't grow. I've not really been in a humid environment but would dearly love to go back to visit family in SC. We'll see if the wet heat bugs me then.  Mike McBride O God do not leave me. I have done nothing good in your sight, but according to your goodness, let me now make a beginning of good. - Abba Arsenius ________________________________ From: ronaldcrpntr <cowtrail@...> Sent: Sun, January 24, 2010 11:22:09 AM Subject: [ ] Rain/ Humidity  I haven't heard from the group lately, just missed everybody. Guest guest
,  Weather effects each of us differently. I have a hard time myself in the humid weather and I live in Florida. I felt the best in Las Vegas and Landing Alaska. Find what works for you. Also, most asthma is driven by allergies. Thats where Xolair works - with Alleregy mediated Asthma. It blocks the allergy recptor sites. So, if you Asthma is not allergy mediated you won't feel better. Hopefully you get relief and stay off the prednisone!  Pat From: McBride <mike.dmcbride@...> Subject: Re: [ ] Rain/ Humidity Date: Sunday, January 24, 2010, 5:19 PM  In 2006 I moved from Alsaka to South Carolina as the cold dry air of the north supposedly was not good for me and the doctor suggested a warm moist environment.
