Interesting what Doug said about reaction to **regular** allergy shot in 1963. 

I also had several reactions to " regular " allergy shots in the early 1960s (up

until I quit in 1966).  Wondering if there was something about the way they were

made back then?  I decided not to go back to shots (so-called de-sensitization

shots) since they not only didn't work but also seemed to cause new problems. 

Has the technology changed?
