Guest guest
- My teeth were having little pains and feeling uncomfortable particularly when I woke up in the morning, and now they feel stronger and don't have the pains or uncomfortable feelings. I don't know that I can see an improvement in gum recession at this point, but I can see less black discoloration in one problem tooth's base, and less tooth sensitivity too. Guest guest
I also found this .for Vicki I found this little tidbit in my files that those of you with dry mouth may want to try. To stimulate saliva glands, try jaborandi, a plant grown in South America (Brazil/Paraguay) and used by the Indians for this problem. http://www.rain- <http://www.rain-tree.com/jaborand.htm> tree.com/jaborand.htm Ethel [
Guest guest
Thank you for advices. I don`t know if my brother have problems with gums but I hope he knows about that. He was doctor himself but he don`t know much about herbs and don`t use it. I will send him some herbs to try bc he have problems talking with dry mouth and operated tongue.Probably he will try Xylitol and oil too. Liz > Hi, Liz. >I had dry mouth from chemotherapy years ago and I did not try any of those things. I hope they help significantly more than the artificial saliva stuff I tried--- " Salivart " and another one for which I cannot remember the name. It does seem to me that nothing can begin to come close to replacing the natural production of the salivary glands. I hope your brother's salivary glands were not irreparably damaged by the radiation. If that is the case, I wonder if chewing xylitol gum might not be better than anything...though, if there are few to no salivary glands functioning I am not sure chewing gum would do much for your brother, either. I am very sorry to hear of his condition, as I know it is very bothersome indeed, and that it can cause significant tooth and gum damage, as well. In case your brother had not had it emphasized to him by the doctors, it is extraordinarily necessary for him now to take the best possible care of his teeth and gums so as to minimize deterioration of them over the coming years. > Best wishes and best of health, > Elliot >
Guest guest
I know that dry mouth is a side effect of a lot of drugs such as anti- depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, allergy medication etc but I've never heard of it associated with Gleevec. My husband uses a C- Pap machine, and complains constantly of dry mouth. He gets up and down all night for water. I think mine could be from my medications, but we also have oil forced air heat. I have to keep it really cool at night so I do not get so dryed out. I never really thought it could be my Gleevec, but now I wonder. Guest guest
Do you have sinus issues? Have you ever been accused of snoring? If your mouth is dry while you sleep, it's likely because you're breathing through it instead of your nose. Guest guest
> > In the middle of the night I have been waking up with an extreamly dry mouth?? What Would case this and why is it happening?? > +++Hi . Dry mouth can be caused by breathing through you mouth because your nose and sinuses are plugged up, but also it can be caused by a lack of minerals and adrenal issues which are very common for candida sufferers. If your nose or sinuses are plugged, use these treatments to help unplug them: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sinus4.php Ensure you are getting enough ocean sea salt, which is 1 1/2 teaspoons per day, either in the Electrolyte Drink or added to foods after they are cooked. Do not drink distilled or reverse osmosis water which leaches the body of minerals. Even adding minerals to them doesn't help. It is better to use tap water that has been filtered by something like a Brita, since tap water contains natural minerals. Also do things on my program that help your adrenals, which includes dry skin brushing (or another mild form of exercise), coffee enemas, and do regular deep breathing exercises - see this article on the adrenals: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/treat1.php I hope that helps. Guest guest
Thanks Cooky. I still hold out hope there is somehting that can be done to make our glands just work a bit better. Did you find the new thing you are taking has helped with more than just your eyes? Thansk! From: Cooky Stonkey <cookee1@...> Subject: rheumatic dry mouth " rheumatic " <rheumatic > Date: Thursday, April 23, 2009, 12:21 PM Vicki, On The Doctors show on TV the other day they talked about dry mouth. They suggested eating sour pickles because it makes your mouth produce saliva. They also suggested having like pebbele or cherry pits (something like this) in your mouth and smoosh them around without swallowing because they stimulate the paritids(sp bad) and saliva will be produced. Thot you might want to try this. cooky

Guest guest
yeah allergies worsens my eyes thats for sure. but back in the day when i didnt have the super dry eyes but normal eyes, i could still wear my contacts even with the worst allergies because it was a different kind of pain. it was itchiness and watery eyes but now add that to the pain of dry eyes and it does me in. I dont look forward to allergy season, the eye drops they make for allergies cause more dryness, same with the allergy medicines. Guest guest
There is a list called LDN_Information that was created just for the Files and Links sections. It is not a discussion list and does not generate messages. Any list member can create a file or link. It is intended to be a centralized source of information. LND_Information Look at both the Files and the Links for different information source on Side Effects. I have been drinking Bee's Egg Drink in the mornings AND taking the tablespoons throughout the day. One thing I have noticed....after I take the coconut oil is DRY MOUTH. Can someone tell me why this would be? > +++Hi Jan. That's great you are on my diet. Hopefully you are also taking all of the supplements too, since the diet and supplements work together. You should always have coconut oil with complete meals, so tablespoons shouldn't be taken just anytime during the day. Again, that is because all nutrients work together. Also do not increase the amount of coconut oil too quickly. Ensure you are following this article to slowly get into this program: Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php However, dry mouth can be caused by a lack of minerals, so ensure you are taking 1.5 teaspoons of good ocean sea salt per day as recommended, with meals of course. Also most people with candida have overstressed adrenals, which also causes a dry mouth (ocean sea salt also helps the adrenals). That is because they are very unhealthy and so their body is running on its fight/flight nervous system. To help this do regular deep breathing exercises: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/breath4.php All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Jan, I got my mouth dry after my last infection in 2005. It is called Sjorgen;s syndrome. I am getting close to confirm it through blood work. But Bee is right it is pretty common for people with Candida. I suspect that I also have Lupus, still to confirm. You can help them a lot by massaging in and around your jaw and inside your mouth where the glands are located. As you progress on this program your body will detoxify itself more and more so those issues will resolve themselves. It is also common for people with candida to have lupus. Guest guest
I believe Dry Mouth can be caused by endocrine dysfunctions. I have a total endocrine collapse. All glands in my endocrine system are not producing adequate hormones. I've been tested for all of them to the tune of $11,000. I had a continual dry mouth and had to chew gum all the time.....Today after reading this post I realized that I no longer have a dry mouth. I have saliva in my mouth....It took this post to make me realize it. So 4 months into this diet...no more dry mouth. I also have noticed something else very personal.....so I will warn everyone it is very personal....just in case you don't want to know.....I will drop down several lines before stating it.... My pubic hair that was white and very scanty is black again and 3 times fuller than it was....so in 4 months....the endocrine system is being sparked a little....Can't wait to see what else is coming.... Thanks to Bee and all for the knowledge, constant support and everlasting patience and endurance for the unhealthy....Gail (curlygirl) > > > > I'm new to the group and have been on Bee's diet for a little over a week. Guest guest
I had severe dry mouth about 6 years ago. I had to have a bottle of water with me wherever I went. I got a blood test and found out I was type II Diabetic with an A1C of 9.6 thanks to Prednisone. YIKES! Now, I am OFF Pred thanks to Xolair, I diet, exercise, take Januvia and Glyburide. My last A1C was 5.9 and dry mouth has disappeared. Other meds can cause dry mouth but Xolair has NEVER given me ANY side effects whatsoever and I have been on it for 7.5 years now. Update on the pain meds: My PCP just called me in an Rx for Trezix. It is a mixture medication of Acetaminophen/Caffeine/Dihydrocodeine. Guess I will have to take it in the mornings so the caffeine won't keep me up at night. Doug Group founder AKA Pain in the neck but can breathe LOL!
