looks like a great program. if only i could use this to pay for my copays for

the office visit required for each xolair shot!

I have been on the program for a year and they will allow me to have another

year if I register again. It brought my copay down from 150.00 to 30.00

Gwendolyn, How on earth do you convince your doctor to let you self inject? Mine

won't consider it. I keep getting told that the FDA won't let me and I know

that's not true. As we've seen in this group, everyone's doctor is interpreting

the guidelines differently. It's so frustrating to me.

I would love to give myself Xolair. If I get anymore sensitive to scents, I

might not be able to go to the office for them anyway. There are two dental

offices that I have to walk by to get to the elevator and those smells just tick

my lungs off. Then, despite the fact that there are signs up saying " This is a

scent free office " , someone always shows up perfumed.

tell them that I " brown bag it " and that is fine with them. Brown bagging means

that you take the meds to the dr. office and let them do the shots. I could not

pay the copays. The debit card should cover any expense related to Xolair. The

care will have $4000 on it and my copays for the drugs are only $100 every three

months. I would ask anyway. I googled the makers of all my drugs adn now I am

getting applications in the mail everyday. All the name brand drugs have patient

assistance programs.

I have been begging my doctor to let me self inject for over 7 years now. No

dice First time I asked him he and his nurse had a look of extreme horror,

disbelief and shock on their faces LOL

You go to the makers website. Look at the patient assistance tab. YOu call them

and they take it from there.
