From my last surgery alone I have 4 " hole " sites that left permanent scars. I not only have my vertical scar from breastbone to pubis, but also a crescent shaped one from my gallbladder, a lower one (hidden by my panni) from my ectopic pregnancy, and little scars (6) all over from drains and one from an infected aspiration site. I have the ugliest abdomen EVER!! I wonder if Dr. K will just cut all that off for me and do a sort of mini tt thingy. I doubt it what with being a revision and all. But it can't hurt to ask, right? Guest guest
I was on here some time ago asking advice about my sons codition. He has a growth deficiency. He is 12 years old and is 4 ft and weighs 52lbs.The DRs want ot give him growth hormone and a feeding tube cuz they say he does not weigh enough and it would help him gain quickly and grow better. The feeding tube is so they can get exta calories in.I'm just so confused about this because I thought feeding tubes were only for people that could not eat at all?Has anyone else ever heard of this? Guest guest
It's not that uncommon - some people have difficulty absorbing enough nutrients through normal eating; the feeding tube can act as a supplement.
