Guest guest
Hi, I have a question for you all. Since we are all a bunch of severe or mod-severe asthmatics, I am wondering if anyone has done sputum induction to determine the presence of eosinophils versus neutrophils in their sputum. Apparently, this is the latest trend in personalized asthma treatment as excess eosinophils are treated differently (more steroids) than neutrophils (more bronchodilators and antibiotics). Its not super easy (eg hacking up phelgm on command after inhaling concentrated sodium solution) but apparently it can be used to target treatment. Glen, any input on this?
