Guest guest
Although Xolair has improved my quality of life greatly, 375 mg every 2 weeks-maximum dose, I have been on 20 mg (not counting the temporary increases for various problems) of Prednisone daily for over 6 years, not much longer than I've been on Xolair. You can imagine the adverse reactions and long term consequences. I have tried to wean down several times but it seems if I go below 20 mg I can't breath. We are trying a different method this time. Once a week for a month I will take 10 mg of Prednisone instead of the 20 mg. The second month I will take 10 mg twice a week for a month. The third month I will take 10 mg 3 times a week for a month, etc. I am on my second week of the first month, I'm hoping this method might be more successful. 's Law, along came the rain, harder to breath, but I'm going to try to stick it out, the other " methods " have not worked. Ron
