Guest guest
Thank goodness, Sheila!!!! So happy that you've found some relief! I'm with you in noting that 2010 was a horrible health year. I think we're all at the point of giving up a foot or walking through glass to get into remission! So thankful that you're on that road! I am supposed to start Xolair next week... I SO pray that I get the same results!!! Keep us updated on any side effects you may have. That in itself is causing me a great amount of anxiety! Congrats!!! In a message dated 1/12/2011 7:43:16 A.M. Eastern Standard Time, sheilabiss@... writes: Oh my goodness. What a life changing difference. I just had my second, yes only second shot and I see a dramatic difference. I have been through so much with my health last year, I was ready to give up on life. I am not being dramatic here. I was literally at the end of my rope. Two doses of Xolair, and I already have major improvements on hive, asthma, and allergic rhinitis. Now the only obstacle is to get it approved by insurance. Getting the run around with them. But I can't believe how much this drug has helped. Blessings be on the people who invented xolair. I am so excited and thrilled. And I am grateful for this group. I was scared to start but being supported made all the difference. Thanks everyone and a happy and healthy new year to you all. Guest guest
Glad to hear of your success, Shiela. Back in the day, about five years ago when I first started Xolair, I still remember having a rather dramatic improvement in breathing with my first shots of Xolair, unlike what I guess is normally expected. As the years progressed, my asthma has become so much under control that I have a real life without being sick so much of the time, in fact, without really being sick at all, not even with allergies. Not only do I not get sick, but I can breath so much better. I have physical strength back that vanished years ago, and I go hiking in the mountains to celebrate this. Strangely, when so many people around me are sick with colds, now I find myself in the position of an observer, not a participant. I suspect not many will believe me but I haven't had a cold in five years, but I used to have about four a year on average before Xolair. Don't let the insurance run-around stop you. Talk to your Doctor about your insurance situation. And talk to Genentech if there's no other financial relief. > > Oh my goodness. What a life changing difference.
