Guest guest
I remember being told by my doctors that when I am fighting a virus, the steroids, whether inhaled or oral, increase my risk of a secondary infection. Does anyone know if Xolair does the same? I have noticed that some of you have not been able to get your Xolair shot if ill. My office won't give it or any allergy shots when I am running a fever. But what about a cold? Isn't IgE something our bodies use to fight foreign substances, sometimes with just an overabundance? Would reducing it when a virus is present make sense? Or is the amount that is created when fighting a virus negligible compared to what is created to over react to the world around us in general? Just wondering through a head that is sloshing right now, B.
