Guest guest
I see a lot of exercise 'machines' on tv and some of them look like they would be fairly easy for a LP to use. I was wondering if any of you have purchased any of these and if so what do you think about them. Are they easy for you to use or not?? Guest guest
I suspect a lot depends on our bodies -How tall we are -Our level of mobility -Our arm stretch -Length of our legs -Our stamina So what may work for one dwarf, would not work for another type. Guest guest
I received a response to my reply-post and would like to share it with the group to see if anyone has other suggestions " What if we have knee problems and still would like to enjoy working out? Are there places that can help with certain areas and even tailor a workout for a short person like me? " Since a lot of the machines we see advertised work on the principle of resistance, wouldn't a workout routine using resistance bands work also? Resistance bands are covered in this article: The 15-Minute Strength-Training Workout http://life.familyeducation.com/exercise/fitness/35977.html My local B & N has a display of exercise supplies that include resistance bands. Guest guest
Hello Everyone: Over the years on dwarfism list serve I have noticed that LP's including myself have been trying to find ways to get in shape. I think I have come up w/ a solution for some of us. The main problem was trying to find fitness equipment scaled to our height while still getting fit! I came across on a commercial children fitness equipment. Check out it's a start & don't laugh! Cheers!
