Guest guest
FORWARDED TO ME.....WANTED TO PASS IT ON. See additional note at bottom. There is a tooth paste for dry mouth. It doesn't make your mouth less dry but it does help your teeth and gums. Biotene Is made for people with dry mouth. Many things can cause dry mouth, medications, diabetes, Asthma, Radiation Therapy, Sjogren's Syndromeand Kidney Dialysis. This tooth paste has Antibacterial enenzymes in it to help protect your teeth and gums from germs that cause tooth decay and gingivitis. You can buy Biotene at Wal Mart or any major Pharmacy. It is more expensive than regular tooth paste but it is worth it to keep your teeth and gums heathly. If you can't find it there is a 800 # on the box you can call and probaly they can tell you where to find it. 1-800-922-5856 An angel's heart sees everything as it really is and accepts it with love. ~ Goldman~
Guest guest
First, let me just say that I found it very worthwhile to search until we found a dentist that didn't disapprove of everything we believe! Our local dentists were worthless, but in traveling about an hour we have a fantastic pediatric dentist who went so far as to say not only is fluoride not that important, its the brushing not the paste that matters. My daughter recently had 3 babyteeth removed by him using only novicane (not anesthesia like our local dentists insisted would be necessary) and he called me on a Sunday night to check on how she was doing! Wonderful doctors are out there I'm so glad that your son's teeth are doing well!!! You definitely should tell your dentist its thanks to your good parenting and not his advice that your son's teeth are so healty. My daughter is cavity free as well -- - In , " Mattson " <amattson@b...> wrote: > Last year I had posted about a Dentist's visit my son had. The Dentist, although happy about what good shape my son's teeth are in, complained about my using an herbal toothpaste. One that didn't contain fluoride and a host of other no-no's for us. He said to mark his words, if we didn't switch back, and soon, we'd have cavities at our next visit. Well, November, the 6 mo. appt. came, and went. Our Dentist, due to family issues, cancelled 3 of the following appt.s as well. So here it is, a full year has gone by and we finally get to see him. Now one thing that I brought up at our last appt. was this discoloration on a few of ph's teeth. Some spots that were ultra white on his front teeth. Perhaps they were everywhere, but I could only see them well, on his front teeth. Anyway, the Dentist didn't have an answer, and since fluoride chelates much needed selenium, I continued on with our herbal toothpaste. The only change ( and this was due to enzymes lessening his sensory sensitivities) was I began flossing his teeth when I brushed them. The result? A year has gone by, white spots on his teeth are gone, and his gums and teeth are in great shape. Not only doesn't he have any cavities, but the Dentist said there isn't even any shadowing, which I learned is a precursor to cavities. He said whatever we were doing, to keep it up. The weenie that I am, I never mentioned keeping the herbal toothpaste, so he gets to keep his illusions about the much overplayed benefit of fluoride. I guess I just wanted one local doctor that didn't roll his eyes when he see's me. So parents out there, I can say for us, happily, we've sacrificed nothing by throwing away our Crest toothpaste, and we've perhaps gained a great deal. > > >
Guest guest
Hi Jerry, I am unable to view Channel 5 News, however I really want to thank you for posting the information on toothpastes. I am going to send a copy to all my friends who are not on the Dr. Group. Thanks Again, Sharon Myers Toothpaste Danger I don't know if any of you watched Channel 5 News last night, but they did an investigation on dollar stores (including Dollar Tree, Greenbacks & 99 Cents). They discovered the Crest, Colgate and other brand name toothpastes weren't the same as from Wal-mart, grocery stores etc. The toothpastes were manufactured in many other countries and are not approved by the American Dental Association (ADA). There was even some from South Africa and the fluoride is ten times stronger than what we're allowed in the U.S.(prescription strength). They're allowed stronger because they don't have fluoridated water (like we do). So if we (or our kids) use it often and occasionally swallow it, we could be poisoning ourselves. The dollar stores declined to comment and a full investigation has begun. So stick to paying full-price at the grocery store and send this e-mail to anyone who shops at dollar stores. This was sent to me by a friend, and I pass it along to you. The only toothpaste or powder we recommend is Peelu. Guest guest
Jerry, I have been using a product called " Microbrite " which is from Royal Body Care, an MLM company and I absolutely love it. Your mouth is super clean and the formula is loaded with an antioxidant. I am not a distributor, nor do I have any financial interest in the company, but simply a very satisfied customer. I never have plaque on my teeth anymore. Just thought I would inform you of a great product. Guest guest
Hi Jerry, My wife & I changed to Tom's Natural Care Toothpase [natural propolis & myrrh] and we love it. It is all natural!! Guest guest
Most of Tom's toothpastes have flouride in them now, since they went mainstream and are sold in groceries. They do still have one or two without flouride, that you can get at a healthfood store, but the healthfood stores also sell the ones with flouride, so read your labels carefully. I use something called " Oregano Toothpowder " , distributed by Wholesome International. PO Box34701, SanDiego, CA 92163-4701 . You can order it from the Dr. site. I dilute and sweeten it with some xylitol. Works great. Joy > Hi Jerry, > My wife & I changed to Tom's Natural Care Toothpase [natural propolis & myrrh] and we love it. Guest guest
I have a 14 yr old and have always had this problem. I've been using Clenzology tooth drops from Garden of Life. It only takes a drop. The ingredients are: coconut oil, peppermint oil, spearmint oil, thyme oil, sweet marjoram oil, myrrh oil and clove oil. It's very " minty " if your child has taste issues. I get mine from a place in NC that sells for 30% off retail and free shipping on GOL products and you also save on tax, if you're out of state. It's about $7.00 for .5 oz and I'm on my first bottle, so I don't know how long that lasts. The website is www.celtic-seasalt.com. Ann <juliettepryor@m...> wrote: > Hi. Guest guest
We use toothpaste by Burt's Bees and it doesn't have anything in it like flouride, artificial sugars or petroleum. Tastes like orange cream, my boys love it. We just use a little and I rub it all over the bristles so it looks like there is more. I believe I can help you. The toothpastes do not need to contain mold in order for them to cause us symptoms as you described. There are a number of chemicals in commercial and even so called " healthy " toothpastes that will cause symptoms to those who are sensitive to them. Some toothpastes are now adding chemical antimicrobials which are can cause adverse symptoms. Prior to my illness had a health practice and had a number of clients with similar adverse symtoms after brushing their teeth. Once they switched to a toothpaste without those chemicals they had no further symptoms. Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and Sodium fluoride are two known such chemicals and when avoided we often see improvment with our gums and teeth. Take a look at: http://householdproducts.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/household/brands?tbl=brands & id=3005\ 032 This is a very useful data base to find ingredients in common household products and also description of the ingredients. Don't laugh but the most effective and safest dentrifice I have found is plain old soap. Unscented, made from lye with the just the base oils needed for soap. Cannot be glycerine based soaps. I brush my teeth with the soap, rinse well about three times and have clean teeth with no film or coating and no irritation. Rosie
