Guest guest
Hello, I've been following and reading all the posts for weeks now. I am supposed to take my first xolair shot tomorrow. Wouldn't you know it, I have been struggling the past 4 days and cannot seem to get my asthma under control. Since I have never had a shot I am concerned about taking it when my peak flow is in the low range (300-310. I have been taking xopenix 2-3 x day, plus Symbicort 160, plus several doses of QVAR. No getting better, so am going to the doctor tomorrow for one of their special breathing treatments. My appt. is about an hour and half after that treatment, so - don't know whether to call and cancel(hospital out-patient) and wait for a better week, or just take my breathing treatment and go. If you have a bad reaction to xolair, will I be in more danger because I was marginal to begin with?? Thank you, Marilyn
