I was taught by my PT how to use my thumbs to press pretty hard at the scar tissue areas and massage in little circles. It would sort of hurt but it would break up the scar tissue and make the scar soft and movable. Also, rubbing Vitamin E oil into the area will help soften the external scar while you break up the adhesions internally. I am a full year out, and have had it manulipulated once to breaj it up (surgical procedure) and still no luck. HIt it early, I have only 87 bend in my knee because of scar tissue.
