I agree Doug. Xolaire has been a life saver and a life giver. I can do things

now that I haven't been able to do in 20 years. I only wish that others getting

the shots would have the same results.

Haven't logged on here for awhile but I saw where you mentioned that you had a

very adverse attack to allergy shots when you were child. Me too. They were

giving me the very thing that made me make IgE - and I nearly died. Today I can

still get into a situation where I manufacture IgE - the shots won't stop that

only bind what I have - but for the most part I can walk away from bad

circumstances. I have been on Xolair now for three years - 375 mg every two

weeks - and I can for the most part also breath - I just have to avoid sitting

next to anyone who has been in the house of someone who owns a CAT.

Subject: [ ] Looking forward to my shots today

I just love visiting the staff at the allergy clinic.

They have become such good friends. I have been seeing them every two weeks for

almost 7 years now.

The girl who gives me my shots is going through some personal problems and I am

praying for her her. The receptionist is now a single mom and I am encouraging

her to stay in church.

I have been getting xolair almost 7 years now and it has been the best medicine

I have ever taken in my life.

I CAN BREATHE LIKE A NORMAL PERSON AGAIN! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Anne,

That was the only time I have ever had any kind of reaction. It was 1962 in the

covered wagon days of allergy injections too.

Xolair has never caused any kind of pain when injected or reaction, however, I

do carry 2 epi pens with me the rest of the day as per my doctor's instructions.

Doug

7 years on xolair this September

Hotels are horrible on asthmatics. They are havens for dust, mold, old cigarette

smoke (even if you are in a non smoking room)and pet dander (if they allow pets)

I have a portable nebulizer and plenty of meds on hand. Also, my bi pap machine

is portable and it helps a lot. A bi pap is like an external intubateor forcing

air into my lungs.

Hope you get better soon

Doug
