Guest guest
I agree Doug. Xolaire has been a life saver and a life giver. I can do things now that I haven't been able to do in 20 years. I only wish that others getting the shots would have the same results. Guest guest
Haven't logged on here for awhile but I saw where you mentioned that you had a very adverse attack to allergy shots when you were child. Me too. They were giving me the very thing that made me make IgE - and I nearly died. Today I can still get into a situation where I manufacture IgE - the shots won't stop that only bind what I have - but for the most part I can walk away from bad circumstances. I have been on Xolair now for three years - 375 mg every two weeks - and I can for the most part also breath - I just have to avoid sitting next to anyone who has been in the house of someone who owns a CAT. It was 1962 in the covered wagon days of allergy injections too. Xolair has never caused any kind of pain when injected or reaction, however, I do carry 2 epi pens with me the rest of the day as per my doctor's instructions. Doug 7 years on xolair this September

They are havens for dust, mold, old cigarette smoke (even if you are in a non smoking room)and pet dander (if they allow pets) I have a portable nebulizer and plenty of meds on hand. Also, my bi pap machine is portable and it helps a lot. A bi pap is like an external intubateor forcing air into my lungs. Hope you get better soon Doug
