Guest guest
I have been on Xolair for almost 3 years. It has been a miracle for my asthma. I barely use any albuteral at all any more. I have never had any reaction at all to the three shots every 2 weeks. BUT, this last time I immediately felt a strange feeling on one one side. ( I receive 2 shots at once.) Being nervous about the anaphalactic shock I immediatley alerted the nurses that I felt something was odd. The feeling is hard to describe, but it was like I could feel something going through my veins, down my arm to the leg and only on the 1 side. I felt dizzy and shakey. They gave me juice and reclined the chair. Then I felt very tired like I could go to sleep. That was an odd feeling since I have never felt tired after the shots. I have trouble falling asleep at night let alone at the Infusion center. They waited about a half hour before they gave me the third shot. I then waited another 45 minutes before leaving. The rest of the day I felt kind faint and tired but normal the next day. The nurse said she did not think it was an allergic reaction to the Xolair. Has anyone had somthing like this happen to them or know of the possible cause? One of my thoughts is that the needle was put in the wrong place or hit a nerve.
