Guest guest
Hello all, I should know the answer to this question, but I don't and neither does 'google' so I'm hoping you will. I heard from someone (not a doctor, a patient friend of mine) that injected Prednisone (I guess she meant methylprednisolone b/c I know this isn't true for SoluMedrol) causes fewer side effects than oral Prednisone. I've only ever had it injected once, and I was pretty miserable at the time, so I don't really remember. I am on oral prednisone (for 3-4wks) right now for an acute bronchitis, and my pulmo knows I hate prednisone so I think he would've mentioned the injectable solution if it was worth trying. My pulmo did say that we had to taper slowly this time due to my history with pred. I know this question isn't strictly related to Xolair but I figured that if anyone would know the answer, it would be a bunch of current/former evil candy takers, so thank you.
