Guest guest
wow, that's so sad. never having insurance before (or needing it) I'm now learning, and experiencing, the frustration of so many people dealing with insurance companys. the donut hole should be illegal....it's a sin, for the elderly, for anyone sick.....and very very very frightening! Guest guest
and you have to take generic medication. Only brand name if the meds has no generic meds yet. If you have an HMO it is even worse with what you can get. That's why I order my Minoxin from Canada, lot less cost for 100 pills than n the US. I am also on Medicare and I can only get generic medication or I have to pay out of my pocket. Eva > > > Hi , > > I have a question for those in the USA. Guest guest
Eva, where in Canada do you order Minoxin? and do you need doc prescription? my monthly antibiatics is $30.00, and I pay small amount (i have medicare), but then I am getting generic brand. I just finished 11 weeks on AP. i know it's still early....maybe feeling small small relief....and still in pain and hard to get around. i haven't done any IVs. do you think that would help me out, like give me a jump start? don't know whether to bite the bullet and make the trip to see doc. Sinnott (5 hours from here) He said plan on staying the week, plus the cost of motel and food, gas. i would need someone to go with me...to drive and help with my care. would be a rough trip for me, but better to do before Iowa winter! people say money can't buy happiness....I say bull!! having money now would give me so much better care, have someone come in daily to help, have nutrious meals prepared, not worry about costs to get the best treatments available! anyway, I look pretty today and feel happy. will go sit on my front porch and get some sunshine, and be grateful for the simplicity and beauty of this sweet town I live in. sally i appreciate all of you so much, and feel such a close connection with you. Guest guest
Hi e,Yes, this is very true, this has happened here in the states too.I remember in Florida where I lived they had to take down the playground they built because of toxins that they found of the materials. It takes many many people to get together and be loud to make something happen. No one wants their children in toxic conditions.Something similar happened to me and my son in 1992. My son went to an elementary school where they were fixing it, painting, remodeling, but they were doing it when school was on. My son who was a sensitive to smells complained to be a few times that the smell of the fixings and the paint was making him sick, feeling nauseous as he was still in school learning at the time, he was about 8 yrs old then. So I called the EPA on them. And they went down to the school and stopped them from working when the children were in attendance. So I made a point and probably saved a few other kids lungs while I was at it. So we all have an obligation to make a fuss when necessary. One man protested to the use of it by plaint and one doctor adviced to take that wood away but the city don't react correctly, even not the government. Guest guest
FYI It has been a well documented fact that cholesterol readings can be very misleading as the emotional state the individual is in may give a high reading due to the person being under any type of strain, pressure or mood swings - even being nervous on having blood drawn can effect the number- raising it once again I urge you all to check out Dr Esselstyn's book on how to Prevent and Cure Heart Disease- or google Nobel Prize for Medicine 1998 for Nitric Oxide - this is the discovery that Esselstyn based his work on - brings all readings back down to normal. Really! No so amazing that this information has not made it into the public domain- welcome to the 21st century Good luck F On Sep 26, 2010, at 6:00 PM, Martisha wrote: > The fact that you bring that up I'm interested in having my cholesterol checked Again my ldl cholesterol was high I want to see if the flush helped. > > franniboy@... wrote: > > >Hello, > > > >Thanks to everyone for keeping the emails coming. > > > >My question is: Has anyone confirmed with stones done flushes and > >subsequently had an ultrasound that showed the stone(s) gone or reduced in number? > > > >Thanks. > > > > > >In a message dated 9/25/2010 8:30:10 P.M. Guest guest
God bless you and your determination. The only thing I can add is that our son had extremely high eosinophils but when the dr. added Azithromycin for PANDAS, our son's eosins. went from off the charts to high normal which was amazing considering we had him on the strictest diet ever for years! I believe that bacteria, in our son's case, caused a lot of the allergic reaction in his body. Possibly your next step would be to investigate bacteria such as strep, mycoplasm pneumonia, and others. Also, he may be allergic to yeast. A yeast test (OAT) from Great Plains or other labs may shed some light on it. Allergic reactions can be really hard to pinpoint. Good luck! From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Lynn Capone Sent: December-09-10 8:36 PM Subject: Question Hi. I am writing to see if any the parents who have older children ever experienced the following. Since being on the protocol since four, my son came from a place where he was severely affected and made significant gains that to me were a miracle. For example, when he was three, he was out there and I can remember walking this conservation land to get exercise and he was stimming, screaming at God knows what, and also not able to walk anywhere normally and enjoy like other families. He now does this without any issues and looks quite normal. For the last couple of years, he has been two years behind grade level and we work harder than anyone I know here and spend at least 15 hours to 18 hours a week doing so and also combining fun. Nothing I seem to do breaks that two year behind problem and now it is getting worse. This year, he turned 12 and I have found that his attention that was previously much better, is way off, and so is his motivation that was also previously much better. His allergy cells are up, but I have no idea how because I used to allow small infractions in the past during Halloween or birthday parties and his labs were fine, but now that I am not doing that at all, they still higher than ever. The diet is cleaner than ever. I feel like I am punishing him about the food because we are stricter than ever. My son had years of gains followed by a regression that is lasting 3 months and getting worse. Has anyone else on this list experienced anything similiar and is this just a phase that you think will pass? (I hope so.) Thanks in advance for any input. Guest guest
Lynn, Hang in there! Maybe the winter regression is going on now. He will catch up eventually, maybe it's mold or allergens in the air, who knows with our kids everything affects them! Good luck, Argie On Dec 9, 2010, at 4:36 PM, Lynn Capone wrote: > Hi. > > I am writing to see if any the parents who have older children ever > experienced the following. Guest guest
Lynn, Does he have a tutor? And do you work over vacations and summer. Those were often our big work times because not having school work it gave us time to concentrate on what he needed to know. When other kids were losing information, mine always gained because we didn't take a break. Having said that we used things he loved as reinforcement for learning. Anything on the computer was great for him as he wanted to be on it all day long. So computer programs that teach we often did together. Call me. I may not be great at the medical but this is my area. Maybe together we can come up with a plan. Best, Marcia 805 497-8202
Guest guest
Lynn, I agree with Marcia. We not only work over breaks but augment what the schools do during the school year. The other issue is ESE. We were way behind across the board until I forced the schools to put Connor in regular ed against all of the " Team " expert's opinion. It was tuff love but in just a few months Connor was working at grade level. Two computer programs helps us the most. One " Learning Today " worked through math and reading problems at grade level using a progressive (Every time he logs on it increase speed and difficulty) game based format that he earned points or rewards and in this format he really excelled. It addressed real life math problems using distances and volumes in settings he understood. We had pretty good calculating skills but could did grasp word problems so he always failed standardized tests. Not any more. The other we still use and it is called reading plus. This was the most amazing for Connor. He was capable of decoding and phonetically verbalizing but little comprehension. This program progressively increases his reading speed with short visual presentations followed by comprehension question. What made this so important was it literally leaped has spontaneous language skills. I always felt Connor was translating from the written word to verbal language and this program has increased his speech dramatically. Connor now makes straight A's and B's in gen ed when two years ago in ESE he was testing at a first grade level across the board. Raise the expectations and you will raise the child. ESE across the board lowers his self expectations and well as those of teachers and peers. We still do several hours of homework daily but it is worth every minute. I have just put in my request to his teachers for a Christmas break study package. I was very specific as to what I needed so it would marry his upcoming spring school schedule. Again raising self esteem building confidence and lowering stress in general ed. ________________________________ From: and Marcia Hinds <hindssite@...> ecapne@...; Sent: Fri, December 10, 2010 9:00:11 AM Subject: Re: Question Lynn, Does he have a tutor? Guest guest
We don’t have scholastic issues but our are just as debilitating. Our son’s issues are schedules and routines. He still can’t remember what to do with himself or what is expected from him. Any suggestions? Thank you. Guest guest
Can you give me more information about this program -- ie: who makes it, website link? This sounds like it would be tremendously helpful for a few of the kids I work with. Thanks, Gaylen In a message dated 12/10/2010 8:37:41 A.M.
