Guest guest
Hi Genine, Welcome to the group! When we visited with our neurologist, the first thing he noticed was the difference in eye shape. He took out a tool and measured the eyes, making sure it was just the folds of the skin that were more droopy, and not the actual eye itself that was different in size. It was just the appearance and not the actual eye that was smaller. It sounds as if its not a concern the way your Doctor described it, but as a worrier too, I always do a search online for things too just for my own peace of mind. The CT appt. is really not all that far away, and your little one is only 4 months now, so three weeks from now will still be an optimum age for banding if you decide that's what's necessary, so hang in there, your still way ahead of the game! Good luck and keep us posted! ' Mom
Guest guest
: The band will not affect any of Tiernan's day to day routines. He'll continue to develop normally and believe it or not, babies don't mind their helmets at all. It's very uncommon for a baby not to tolerate their helmet. I didn't believe everyone who told me my Abby wouldn't mind her helmet, I thought for sure she'd be bothered by it. But nope! She didn't care for one second. She continued to eat, sleep and play just as she did before band! She also learned to crawl, walk, talk, etc. while in her 1st STARband. Tiernan will be fine! Guest guest
Genine- Welcome to the group! I can't speak to the Anesocoria at all, but just wanted to say that Mackenzie is at a great age for correction. We started all of this when my son was 4 mo. He got his band at 5 mo and 4 days and the time just flew. He was casted 2/9 and fitted with his DOC Band 2/14. had a great idea about getting on the cancellation list. I know how anxious it can be. When we decided to go ahead and band, I wanted it NOW! LOL! Dane's mom DOC Grad
Guest guest
Genine, Hello and welcome. I have never heard anyone hear mention one pupil being larger then the other as far as I can remember. Has Mackenzie had an appointment with an eye doctor to get the diagnosis you mentioned? If so, what was his/her take on the situation? If not, would your ped refer you to an eye specialist? I know it is so hard to wait for all the appointments and consultations, but with Mackenzie being so young you are right on track to get some great correction even if you don't start until the middle or end of December. Hang in there! Please keep us posted. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma > My dd Mackenzie has Plag. and Tort. In addition to that, one of her > pupils is always larger than the other. Guest guest
Hi Genine and welcome to the group! I'm sorry I can't give any info on Anesocoria, I have to say that today was the first I had ever heard of it! I was wondering though if you had been to a pediatric opthomalogist to see if they can give you their opinion, or any insight as whether it might be plagio related afterall? Good luck at your appt. with Cranial Tech! Be sure to let us know how it goes. And again, welcome to the group! Niki Kaylie & Danny (STAR grads) Phila., PA > My dd Mackenzie has Plag. and Tort. I had my infusion yesterday and I am flaring. It's as if this remicade infusion made me feel worse rather than better. Hopefully it will pass soon. Guest guest
, I also had this swelling of the lips. During the summer it happened to me twice. I would wake up with it and it would almost look like my hubby punched me in the mouth while I was sleeping. Hehe. But, it really did. The fevers and achy joints are symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis which is what I have. I don't know if the others are symptomatic of RA or not. I do have this to say: I was severely out of control with RA last year until this fall and I had strange things happen to me during this time. Things that doctors could not figure out. My back (right above the kidney area) was hurting me so bad on Father's Day that my hubby had to take me to the ER. It was dismissed as muscular-skeletal. I also went to the gastroenterologist for a feeling of a lump in my throat and pain when I swallowed. I later found someone else on this web site that had the same symptom (for no reason at all). So to sum it up... These microplasma in our bodies can cause all kinds of pains and hurts that sometimes can't be explained, but since I got on the Minocin I feel soooooo much better and the weird, unexplainable symptoms have gone away. All except the painful neck and shoulders and I attribute this to my allergy problems as of late. What meds are you taking and how much? It may be a herx reaction which would be a good sign that the AP is working. Hope this helps. Mellanie rheumatic question This question doesn't have anything to do with the AP directly (i don't think). i had these strange symptoms a couple months before i started AP and just woke up today with them again : (. i just started the AP a week and a half ago. the symptoms were a mystery to the docs then and i had them for 2 months. i am scared they are intense. fever(fluctuating 99 - 101), severe sore throat (but looks normal), achey joints, forehead and back of head slight swelling that feels like bruises, left shoulder pain, nausea, puffy lips, almost seems like fever blisters on lips but never turn color, stiff neck, itchy skin on elbow. i think thats everything. this second time is exactly the same as last time. i lost a lot of weight. maybe this time won't be as bad but the docs couldn't find anything different except my wbc were increased. i noticed that they didn't. if anyone has experienced anything like this or heard of anything i would greatly appreciate any feedback. i just started taking oregano oil maybe that will help. i'm not up for another couple months of this : |. they thought i had menengitis or TB but nothing showed anything. hope everyone is doing well and thank you to everyone for there support!! rachael rachael To unsubscribe, email: rheumatic-unsubscribeegroups

Guest guest
Gosh, I sure hope so--we mix everthing with orange soda, chelators, enzymes, vitamins, supplements. My son only has a little bit with each, but he's not a juice drinker, so that doesn't leave much. I would love to find something a little more healthy that I could mix with these things, but orange pop is the only pop or drink outside of water that he'll take. That is, don't store the mixture of DMSA + soda. Mix it up and give it to him. If you want to know about mixing and storing, see /files/HOW_TO_buy_DMSA You need to use ACIDIC juice in that case. For immediate use, mix in whatever you want. Moria

Guest guest
Jan, now THAT is weird! Mine did the same...only NOT ankle. It was to the side-front of my lower leg AVOVE the ankle. It ran at an " angle " from side to side, yet at an angle, if that makes sense! It is almost as if my leg in that area is STONE HARD. After it happens in " spots " , the " stone hard " look never goes away, but the dent does. Bummer. I have the spasams and spastic muscles and tendons draw up due to my MS. So I just always thought the MS was doing mine. But now that I read your post, I guess I need to point it out to my doctor! But YES... I do know what you are talking about. It don't look " real " , does it? It is the strangest looking thing I ever saw. " Dent lady " . Yes... I am " dent lady " !!! You remember those " stocking dolls " they use to make when the Cabbage patch kids were so popular? People would make " home made " real babies. Took old panty hose, and made the " sculpted faces " . I feel like one of those! Like I took a needle and thread and " sculpted " a " dent " here or there! It does not stay like this. It comes and lasts a day or so then goes... may come back within a couple weeks, off and on like this all the time, in different spots. I have also noted the last few weeks... my RIGHT arm is doing this. Not the inside of my lower arm...but just above my wrist about 4 or 5 inches... between my elbow and wrist. On the " tan part " of my arm, not the inside. Now THAT looks really strange! And like you said, looks like TO THE BONE. I wonder where the muscle and stuff in my arm " goes " when the " dent " happens. You know, where is it " displaced to " ? Ha! Boy... our bodies come up with some " good ones " don't they! Probably some of the others on the list also! Very cute Jan! My grandmother use to have ONE of her many " I feel sooooooo bad, that... " famous quotations: " I ain't feeling fit enough to be buried! Guest guest
YES! Take it... please! haha! Like I said, I just always assumed it was another " quirk " of the MS! And I have SO MANY " unreal " complaints... that ARE real... till I don't even bother to bring to attention to doctor!
