Guest guest
Trisha gags sometimes, it used to be worse but it's getting better as she gets older. She doesn't have reflux but she does have aerophasia (not sure of the spelling) that's where she takes in too much air and something has to come out, if she has just eaten or drank then it's the food or liquid which sometimes makes h er gag. We just keep offering foods as we can and make sure our first aid and cpr up to date, but dotn really need that, watch for aspiration, could get pnuemonia take meals slow noninvasive, small bites too. we havent found the right texture that nathan can tolerate yet, but try different ones might find one that works well for you. will pray things go better inthis area for you. shawna. --- duffey48@... wrote: > In a message dated 1/31/01 9:56:38 PM Eastern > Standard Time, > ccurran1@... writes: > > << Now some questions. has a problem with > gagging and choking. Guest guest
Connie, I know 12 year old twin boys- one of them has a cleft, and their front few teeth are way out, but I don't think that he has problems eating. Sorry I wish I was more help. Guest guest
Good for you, and good for you about not being afraid to let your child around other children. That's my shortcoming. I'm afraid that the other kids have been newly vaccinated or something. Oh, and the strawberry thing is impressive. We went to a friends house the other day and she hasn't seen Dylan in a while, she thought he was two years old. He turned one in March and I agree, he's so much more aware, active than other kids his age, but he's not talking yet. in Colorado Something Different I went to playgroup today as usual w/. It was a new playgroup I joined. There were only a couple other moms there, so it was more of an intimate setting. The other moms were amazed at . They were amazed she could say strawberry clearly, she identified school buses, trucks and cars by name as they passed, she identified some of her colors by name. They said she is such a happy baby (she is 14 months now). I wanted to scream her body doesn't have poison flowing thru it, so her head is clear! They could tell there was something different about , but just couldn't put their finger on it. I did mention we were very natural and she wasn't vaccinated. I didn't get the looks I thought I would. I did get a " look " when I told one of the moms I drink raw milk from a local farmer. Ha. Just thought I would share. I also started a blog for . _www.littlelindalee .blogspot. com_ (http://www.littleli ndalee.blogspot. com) if anyone is interested. Guest guest
I am little 's grand daddy. I am so grateful that My daughter investigated the vaccine scam and did not vaccinate. And, the same for my other 5 grand babies in CA. None have ever been vaccinated. A doctor out there commented that they are healthier when sick than most other children he examines that are supposedly well. The other children being the unfortunate vaccinated ones. I've noticed a lot of first children speaking early... at 15 mos. had about a 15-20 word vocabulary. , at 20 months is still into sounds. he understands some things though and I'm trying to teach a baby sign. yes she is my first child. She will turn 15 months on the 9th. Right now I guess her vocab is at around 75 words. She knows almost all her colors, is learning her shapes, can recognize about 8 letters of the alphabet, can say all the letters (but not in order yet). As far as signing goes, I highly recommend it. I signed w/. when she was 12 1/2 months old someone asked me how many signs she can sign back to me. I said oh about 10 probably. Well I sat down and counted them. She could sign 38 signs back to me at 12 1/2 months old. I had no way of knowing verbally she would take off so well. If she hadn't, I would still have been able to communicate w/her. So I'm guessing that 75 is her verbal vocab, but that might be low. Yesterday she walked outside looked up at the sky and said " Clouds! " and was very excited. Anyway, I stop bragging now! Sorry. Since she is my first, it is easy to do. I am blessed by God to be able to stay home w/her. I think that makes a difference too. I was late.. got 2 months and didn't get any again til after 7 months when we had health care again.... I've never been " good " about getting them their shots " on schedule " , even when I was doing vaxxes. was 2 before she got any! but she only got those that ' caught her up " . can't remember when the others started speaking.. I know peter was late too though. at 3, he was at simple sentences. I remember (since I journeled it) he'd come running up to Christian, while he was sick " oh what baby do? " and " baby do? " anyway. maybe I just have late bloomers Nita, yes my hands are full, but not my heart: 14, Jon 12, 10, 8, 5, Christian (RIP: 7/16/03 to 8/22/04), and 1 Some minds are like concrete: Thoroughly mixed up and permanently set.
