Well I took the 'leap' and had my first injection last Friday. I had a little itching on the back of my neck and head, but no hives or any other issues. I was wiped out that evening and the next day, but I am fine and feel 'normal'. My asthma is really acting up so it is a good time to start this in hopes of getting some relief in about 3 months or so. I will admit I was very nervous before the injection and when I started to itch my anxiety level went through the roof because I was thinking about 'what if this gets worse and I can't breath....' so thankfully I brought my iPad with me so I distracted myself by getting on facebook and played some games! So time will tell.... I guess we all just play the waiting game to see if it will work or not... or how well it will work or not... I am excited about the possibilities for sure and am hoping to be steriod FREE this time next year.
Guest guest
, I really hope the best for you. Even with the Xolair, I am currently on Prednisone. The Georgia environment does not play well in the sandbox. I still have lots of asthma issues. They mostly flare up when my sinuses are infected. I do well until that happens. If I could control my sinus, I would be fine. ----- Original Message ----- From: Steiner <shellysteiner33@...> xolair users < > Sent: Wed, 16 Mar 2011 17:10:58 -0000 (UTC) Subject: Re:[ ] Leap of Faith - Update! i felt the same anxiety when i first started ---------- Sent from AT & T's Wireless network using Mobile Email ------Original Message------ From: lunaballoona <lunaballoona@...> < > Date: Wednesday, March 16, 2011 12:06:04 AM GMT-0000 Subject: [ ] Leap of Faith - Update! Guest guest
I have been on Xoliar for the past three years. I suffered from allergies my whole life however my asthma was not really bad until fall. About three years ago I began to have more asthma problems then started to have anaphalxys from tree pollen. It was really scary. My allergist wanted to try Xoliar to see if it would help. Thank the Lord it did!!! I get two shots per month and feel great, I never realized that my peak flows were bad until the Xolair helped them increase to 450. That is the highest I have ever gotten. I am blessed that he knew of this drug. I do occasionally have break through symptoms but all in all it is 95% better! I wish you lots of luck!! God Bless! ________________________________ From: Gwendolyn Rafter <gwen5052@...> xolair users < > Sent: Wed, March 16, 2011 3:24:33 PM Subject: Re:[ ] Leap of Faith - Update! , I really hope the best for you.
