I mostly agree with what Don said, but I think the blame should be shared. Do

you REALLY BELIEVE the Republicans are looking out for YOUR welfare? Just

For the record, I never mentioned repooplicans or the demorats in my post...I

think both are taking us in a less than good direction.

If I have a leaning politically, it would be in favor of a more libertarian

perspective.

This is beyond either party...and provides the law to permit far over reaching

control of the little guy...and is a bill that will give the big business of

Monsanto a monopoly over food...and put a horrendous big squeeze on all

competitors by slowly snuffing the life out of them.   In this group I think

this issue needs to be allowed as I too hate politics, but on this issue we must

pull our respective heads out of the oil, so to speak, and get involved as it is

our freedom that is at stake. 

I believe bites from naturalnews.com has been cut / pasted in here and if memory

serves, pg 195 is where a lot of the trouble starts - not to mention the

slippery way harry reid slid it thru when there was very few to vote...

Enough with the blame for things past. We were discussing the food 'safety'

bill, not the rest of it. We need to get together on what's best for this

country, and stop the fighting. Whatever party we endorse, we need to let

our so-called representatives know where we stand on the issues, or we'll

to the person who started it. If this list was properly moderated it would have

been stopped as soon as it began. This is not the first time that Doug has

introduced this issue and since I feel it is, for the most part, an urban legend

I felt it needed to be challenged or it will just continue to grow. These things

seem to take on a life of their own, becoming impervious to the truth.

look at some videos on youtube. " Who's controlling our food? "   really

terrifying!  They were posted by a man in the Netherlands, not a partisan

In the description of this group it states that " any topic related to natural

health, or improving our health is also appreciated.....heated discussions are

fine if they are respectful. " I think this is a terribly important issue for

our health. The only one who was not respectful was the one who ranted about

I think we should be grateful that the moderation on this list is so loose. I

just quit another group, because the mods were so overly strict that if you

forgot to sign your name or trim every bit of previous posts not directly

involving your comment, they'd not allow it and then follow up with a curt

email. I'd posted a desperate question regarding an important pet issue, but in

my desperation, I forgot to sign my name, and so I got a mod's nasty response

via email. (And it's not as if that mod didn't know I was a regular...Could have

let it slide under the circumstances.) I found my help elsewhere, but in the

meantime, had I not sense enough to find my answer at another forum, my pet

could have suffered terribly, as the vet's office wasn't answering. Some

moderators micro-manage beyond the reasonable.

Yes, I'm quite thankful that this group is so relaxed...though a touch too

relaxed when it comes to allowing flaming to go on unchecked, but even in those

cases, good information is often gleaned.

My question to you, Dee...is are you willing to take the chance that it is urban

legend?...or are you taking an approach like Pelosi when she said you just have

to let us pass the health care legislation to find out what is in it?    I

have heard from too many sources beyond the natural news site to let this

go...and after it is passed it may be too late...I love my country, but have

come to the place where I fear my gov't does not have our general welfare at

heart...there are just too many issues / unanswered questions...once we have let

them get all their ducks in a row...those 900 fima camps will be opening...guess

who will be the guests there...they did not build them for no reason at all...

Sigh. Unfortunately that's the same tired story making the rounds of the

internet. And just because it's repeated so often - by " doctors " no less -

doesn't make it " real " . I must be the only one here who has actually read the

bill. But I guess people will believe what they want to believe, regardless, so

I'm not going to waste anymore of my precious time on this issue. I guess we'll

just have to wait to see if any of these dire predictions actually come true.
