I doubt very seriously if oil pulling, regardless of what you are pulling with, is causing a systemic healing crisis throughout your body. > The upside of doing oil pulling is that I had a dental check this > week and it was the first time my gums have not bled in years, so I > can only put this success to the oil pulling. Yes, oil pulling can work wonders for the health of the mouth teeth and gums, but that's about it. If this started very soon after starting the oil pulling, I'd look at the coconut oil - maybe some impurities in the oil (bad brand or batch), etc - or something else entirely. You don't have to use coconut oil for oil pulling - try a different oil - maybe some sunflower oil or something else, and see if it goes away, if not, keep looking... Guest guest
I agree with that swishing one's mouth out with oil or another antimicrobial doesn't pull enough to promote a healing crisis. While oil pulling swishes the exterior of teeth and gums, a healing crisis comes from within. What you're looking for in order to produce a healing crisis is a wholesale extermination of infection and subsequent release into the body of the toxin load as the organism dies off. That's why it's often called " die off " . " Chasing the herx " also promotes some people to accidentally toxify themselves by breaking down various cells, healthy and otherwise, which releases large amounts of biological debris. Outright poisoning and rhabdomyolysis that can occur with the salt-C diet for example is also sometimes interpreted positively as a Herxheimer-Jarisch effect when it's not. In the end, since a Herx effect is infrequently seen and interpreted correctly, do you really need to produce one in order to heal? Well, No. Because your issue is one of psoriasis, I'd take a hard look at the connection between it and other inflammatory disorders such as psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, the IBS and IBD group, candidiasis, and bowel dysbiosis. all good, Duncan > > I have researched oil pulling (coconut oil) and can only believe that > > this skin flare up is consistent with my body having a healing crisis. > > I doubt very seriously if oil pulling, regardless of what you are > pulling with, is causing a systemic healing crisis throughout your body. >
