Guest guest
Sorry this message was identified by as " spam " ... don't ask me why but it's VERY annoying. I wish I could turn off this " feature " because it's totally useless and only identifies REAL messages wrongly but I've actually seen it pass through spam. ** sigh ** and when I went to approve the message, I found out too late that they " default " to deleting the message in that " spam " folder so I accidentally deleted the message. Luckily I had a copy in email... sorry again. Sue, moderator Re: Re: THR dislocation after 4 months! Hello Margret My name is Miriam If it's any comfort to you (it won't be) my experience was similar only worse (I think) 1/. TKR is always harder to recover than THR 2 For the minute I got out of bed I suspected something was wrong, I couldn't put the leg on the floor as it was " angled " and so shorter than the other 3/ Today, after exactly 6 months, I have alot of pain especially when I lie down or stand up after sitting. I am permanently on Optalgin (forbidden for use in the U.S.A. and U.K.) 4. I also have pains in the shin and especially at the top of my thigh so I am pleased you mentioned it. 5/ I am still on a walker. I can totter a few yards with a 4 legged walking stick but I I so crooked - it did my back in -so back to the walker 6/ I could never consider swimming or water exercises. I don't think I could get out of the pool and certainly wouldn't risk walking on a floor that might be wet/ I also want to sue the doctor, who was highly recommended and the surgery was done at the Herzliya Medical Centre I , of course, need resurgery the whole implant has to be replaced. I am glad you gave me the name of your doctor, he seems very thorough and honest and I would like to know what exactly went wrong before i go through it again (with another surgeon, my daughters would kill me if I took the same one.) so I can do my best that it doesn't happen again. I have beeen warned that it will be a very complicated operation and that my recovery will be longer, more difficult (read painful) and slower. Up until about 5-7 years ago TKR could not be repeated ever, THR could. Please let me know how you get on. Especially as, for business reasons, I am trying to postpone my resurgery until the end of June 2009 - in fact I already have a date 17/06. It has to be done in a public hospital so I am also a little worried that the head of the department who I consulted privately will do the actual surgery and pass it on to his underlings Have a refuah shlema and good luck. Let me know how you get on.. Miriam Vilner 077-9343727 050-4564049 On Sun, Dec 21, 2008 at 12:49 AM, a smith <arsottawa@...> wrote: > Shalom Margaret, > > So sorry to hear about your disclocation.
