Guest guest
My day menu is really simple The first 2 weeks I ate 1 apple in mid-morning and the 2 grissini with the lunch and dinner or for snack. Somebody told me to skip the apple and the grissini and take L-Lysine (to get over the stall). So in the lost 10 days I had the 100g chicken 2 times with some garlic, and salt free seasoning. For veggies I use once a day cucumber, for the other I eat asparagus or salad and sometimes tomato. I do not use ACV - I just can not take it. Once a week I do chicken " soup " with chicken-garlic-celery-parsley and fat free - salt free chicken broth + water. I did try shrimp once, and white fish once. I got them fresh from whole food (not frozen) and I really had to force myself to eat it. I did try 2 times, when I was in a hurry egg white shake - no fat, no sugar. I drink black coffee in the morning and about 3-4 quart water a day. Sometimes some herb tea (I'm sensitive for green tea). Lost night I did take 2 vitamin C because I felt I'll coming down with something. I just can not have that. I have a big concert this Sunday, and I have to sing a lot. But this was the first time. Most of the time I only ate 350-400 C. I don't even reach 500. The only thing I do - what I shouldn't - is my shampoo has some oil in it, but I only use it 2 times a week and really fast. (and my toothpaste) NO MAKEUP, NO LOTION, NO SALT, NO OIL. So this is me. If I do something wrong please let me know. With this speed I have to be on this diet for 3 years to reach my goal. Thanks for any suggestion, Emoke > > > > Did anybody use MCT OIL in P2 ? > > or b-12 and collodial silver ? > > > > This is my 4th week. Guest guest
It should help to release the fat, but it is oil. Guest guest
, Palm kernel oil and coconut oil are two that come immediately to mind. Others are more obscure, individual components of other oils. MCT's have a purported use in helping to burn more calories for weight loss than other fats. But in order for that to happen, one has to consume half their calories or more from these oils. That would seem self defeating and completely and totally inappropriate in the hCG plan for sure in treatment phase or P2. P3, maybe no problem because that is where you add fats and proteins. But not to the half your calories level in P3 -- one could shoot right past their 2# LIW limit. Guest guest
MCT oil was developed for a ketosis diet for epileptics(not sure why that helps thems, though) I used it 1 TBS a day in my Ultra Lean protein shake and it worked great. It can get you into ketosis if you aren't already and keep you there if you are. It actually works best with the ultralean. It is not in Simeon's protocol but was recommended by the clinic I went to. You can find it cheaper (it was very expensive at the clinic) at www(dot)life-enhancement(dot)com. Some benefits include: may help increase HDL levels lower caloric content may increase energy expenditure improves absorption of vit E, calcium, and magnesium metabolized without bile helps stabilize brain waves fast energy less fat storage > > > >> Did anybody use MCT OIL in P2 ? > >> or b-12 and collodial silver ? > >> > >> This is my 4th week. Guest guest
you could try to add a TBS of mct oil into your day, only eat fruit with meals, cut out fruit and tomatoes if still not losing to see if that helps, maybe also more protein like a protein shake(I used UltraLean by BioGenesis) > From: erseki <emokeerseki@...> > Subject: Re: MCT oil > > Date: Friday, November 7, 2008, 9:39 PM > My day menu is really simple > > The first 2 weeks I ate 1 apple in mid-morning and the 2 > grissini with > the lunch and dinner or for snack. Guest guest
MCT oil is a medium chain triglyceride. It is derived from Coconut oil, but don't confuse the two. Straight coconut oil would play havoc on this diet. here is a little info from the bottle: very little mct gets converted into body fat mcts are rapidly burned for energy mcts will not increase serum cholesterol levels mct improves absorption of vitamin E, calcium and magnesium it helps stabilize brain waves it is metabolized without bile, thereby giving the gallbladder a rest may increase energy expenditure I read that it was developed for a ketosis diet for epileptics. I'm not really sure why epileptics need to be in ketosis, but I do know that being in ketosis is what is supposed to happen, so if this helps, I'll take it. > From: erseki <emokeerseki@...>> > Subject: Re: MCT oil> To: > > Date: Friday, November 7, > 2008, 9:39 PM> My day menu is really simple> > The > first 2 weeks I ate 1 apple in mid-morning and the 2> > grissini with> the lunch and dinner or for snack. > Somebody told me to skip> the apple> and the grissini > and take L-Lysine (to get over the stall).> > So in > the lost 10 days I had the 100g chicken 2 times with> > some> garlic, and salt free seasoning. Guest guest
Hi , Yes, both coconut and palm oil are healthy on a regular basis. Your best source for info on these is here: http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/index.htm Coconut milk is the milky fluid freshly extracted from the coconut kernel with or without added water. Coconut cream is the high fat cream-like material derived from the milk by either centrifugation or gravitational separation. 10 ounces of coco milk contains about 3.5 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil (VCO): http://www.coconut-oil-central.com/coconut-milk.htmll Both coconut milk and coconut oil are healthy choices, as is coconut cream, coconut water, and coconut meat. As they say, variety is the spice of life :-) and the milk and water add potassium and other minerals absent from the oil (which has the MCFA's). I cook with coconut oil, add concentrated coconut cream to coffee or hot chocolate, drink coconut milk - in milk cartons, not canned (and now available in the refrigerated section of Wallmart, believe it or not). I also sometimes drink coconut water and use shredded coconut in baked goods. All good. And if you're good at whacking coconuts they're great to eat fresh. Dee > > I have tried Now brand " MCT Oil " , its made from coconut and palm oil and I did notice a serious improvement in energy. The question is, is it healthy on a regular basis ? Is coconut milk or oil a better choice and why (if so) ? >
Guest guest
MCT oil is what remains after the long chain oils have been removed. Caprylic Acid (C8:0) 7.8 g & Capric Acid (C10:0) 6.2 g per 14 gram TBSP. It is the healthiest fraction of coconut oil. Odorless and colorless, a LIQUID saturated fat that won't scorch at high temperatures, yes! This will be my second fat after butter and the one I'll cook with and use on salads. Palm oil in my data contains no capric or caproic acid so I don't know why they woiuld say it's in there. all good, Duncan > > I have tried Now brand " MCT Oil " , its made from coconut and palm oil and I did notice a serious improvement in energy. Guest guest
Dee, MCT oil is a refined COMPONENT fraction of coconut oil. There should be hardly has traces of palm oil in it; my table of food oils indicates no MCT was in the palm oil tested except .1% lauric, which is not present in this MCT oil. Lowest price for the Now MCT oil seems to be under $15 a qt. all good, Duncan > > > > I have tried Now brand " MCT Oil " , its made from coconut and palm oil and I did notice a serious improvement in energy. Guest guest
Sorry. In this case my bad. I thought I was replying to 's question regarding regular use of coconut + palm oil. Guest guest
Having tried it, I consider it to be akin to a high performance rocket fuel. I think MCT will be my pre exercise fuel. I certainly wouldn't consume it in the evening. In retrospect, I think the coconut oil is closer to what nature intended and so is better suited to more frequent consumption. > > > > I have tried Now brand " MCT Oil " , its made from coconut and palm oil and I did notice a serious improvement in energy. Guest guest
Duncan, Coconut oil and butter ghee is another good option. The combination makes sense to me. I haven't tried it yet. I still have some ghee. I will definitely be trying it though. http://www.stfrancisherbfarm.com/product.aspx?ID=180 > > MCT oil is what remains after the long chain oils have been removed.
