Guest guest Posted July 24, 2011 Report Share Posted July 24, 2011 I'm hoping to hear from people who struggled to lose weight even with coconut oil, once they developed thyroid issues. What worked for weight loss?? I used to effortlessly lose weight following Eat Fat Lose Fat before I developed thyroid issues. The weight would just drop off when I wanted to lose some. However, it just doesn't work for me anymore. I just put on more weight. I know there must be answers but not sure what they are. I seem to be on the right medication now with Hydrocortisone, because I was not producing enough cortisol, and which is now down to a low dose, and T3 only. My temperatures have mostly stabilised. Most of my symptoms are gone - just not losing the weight I piled on. My diet is very good but I don't take coconut oil anymore because I was putting on weight with it - whereas in the past I'd lose weight with it. I have very few carbs in my diet now. Mostly just good fats and proteins. All the fats are certified organic apart from some cream which is just pure cream, without additives, but not organic.
