No, the order will be here on Wednesday and I will start shipping at the end

of the week. There are still over several outstanding payments so I had to

order the first half and will order the second half as soon as all payments

have arrived. I will send an update to everyone in the co-op soon.

Hi everyone, just rec'd some virgin coconut oil and it's a solid. For some

reason I thought this would be a liquid oil. I bought this to use with a salt

scrub recipe. Anyone use this oil and how did you like it? What did you use it

in? Thanks for all of your input. Have a wonderfull day.

I love the stuff and use it in scrubs and lotions and creams. I guess you

could use it in soap but what a waste that would be. It is absorbed quickly

in the skin and leaves a very soft feel without being greasy. I warm it to

get it out of the bottle and keep it in the fridge. to keep it fresh. My

reg. coconut oil is solid at room temp. here too. You will like I am sure.

Thanks so much, Chris! I made a foot balm last night- which called for reg.

coconut oil, which I discovered was rancid- and so used the VCO. The foot balm

is nice, but I must say that I have a hard time with the greasy feel. Tried the

balm on one foot and my regulare homemade lotion on the other. Not much

difference! I sure love the light smell of the VCO, though. What do you think

about using it in place of my regular mango butter in my lotion? Would it be

about the same for absorption? Thanks for your help. I sure appreciate it.

I think it would be about the same. I don't get a greasy feel with it at

all. You need to give it a little more time to be absorbed by your skin.

My bestest lotion recipe is medowfoam, vco and emu. When you put it on you

feel a little greasy but five minutes later all you are is very soft. I

have hard working hands, I just canned 50 lbs of tuna. I bet I washed my

hands 50 times a day for three days. It worked wonders.

originally from the west coast of b.c. and your comment makes me homesick! Have

a great evening.

The coconut oil is particularly supposed to help with the HHV6 virus as I

recall.

I have been using virgin coconut oil on and off. I haven't found it to be

dramatically effective, but I have noticed that ANY raw oil -- the coconut

oil,

flax oil, or olive oil -- seems to pick me up when I'm feeling particularly

crappy. The coconut oil is really tasty, and that's an added benefit since so

few things are.

I use coconut oil for my skin, taking it internally and applying

externally. I also note an increase in energy right after taking the

oil. As I understand it, coconut oil is the only oil that does not

need to pass through the digestive system absorbing directly into the

blood stream from the stomach. Be sure you get a good grade. It

should smell and taste like coconuts.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me whether natural additives to virgin coconut oil such as

vanilla/ other essential oils results in any issues with reduced shelf-life or

toxicity? (for use on the skin only)
