Guest guest
, post herpetic neuralgia has been treated with ozone. I think it's mainly given as an injection alongside the nerve branch, but one may improve healing also with ozonated olive oil topical. One place you can get it (Nature's Gift): Sherri-Lee Pressman. http://aloeessence.com > > Recently I posted being healed from shingles by using a new product called monolaurin(which is extracted from coconut milk) and vit c. Many fellow members very graciously sent their methods (I love this board) > But now I need your help again. The shingles were located around the left eye ,forehead and top of left head. Everywhere there was a outbreak there is now a sensation of creepy crawlers moving under the skin causing a intense itching. It is driving me crazy as the head is so sore from me trying to scratch an itch that isnt there. > thanks > mike >

Guest guest
Wow, this got my attention.. Is this for creepy crawly nerve agitation and body itching in general? (please say yes!). I have had a growing problem and get itchy antsy and feel nuts after just about anything I eat now, before it was some foods, but now almost every one. Much worse itches and all these symptoms since taking evco, in fact I'm on a break from it because it became way too intnse and intensified that reaction.. So I'm just over 3 weeks off the evco right now. Please elaborate or testimonials appreciated, I've been going nuts with this for over a year and really bad after my last 1 month stint on the evco. Do you think it has anything to do with slow phase 2 liver detox? Thanks so much, Tina > > > > > > _____ > > From: Cain Ltd [mailto:Cainltd@...] > Sent: Saturday, September 03, 2011 5:47 PM > 'michaelinde@...' > Subject: Re: creepy crawlys > > > > Two rolling teaspoons full of MSM powder or granules in 5 or 6 ounces of > warm water . > > This will do away with the itch and creepy crawl feeling, also excellent for > the eyes. Guest guest
Tina if you think your reaction may be from low phase II liver function, the answer is to increase glutathione precursors in the diet. Glutathione is the main phaseII detox molecule. There would be a big difference in probably less than two days. Refer to the liver function chapter of The 7-Day Detox Miracle for more info and food details: http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/liver_function.html Glutathione also provides the sulfur=sulfur bond used to conjugate some toxins. all good, Duncan > > > Wow, this got my attention.. > Is this for creepy crawly nerve agitation and body itching in general? > (please say yes!). Guest guest
-Yes Tina it was due to the aftereffects of having shingles on my face(left side around the eye) I had been told by the specialist there was nothing that could be done.I was constantly scratching an itch that wasnt there or trying to pull my hair out to stop the sensation of some bugs crawling under my skin. Iam taking over two tablespoons of msm a day and am increasing it just to see what happens i don know Cains background but it must be impressive, wish he would post more(smile) mike
Guest guest
Thanks Duncan, I am not sure but I know that since using evco to detox and heal my body these reactions have worsened.. And I do have Gilberts which until now I too thought was asymptomatic, but don't believe that anymore.. Also during evco use and more Celtic salt and of course with a clean diet of only meat, good fats and cooked vegetables, that those problems increased.. For the first time in my life I have been getting abnormal kidney function tests,( though the sx started before this) and I believe my bilirubin has been a bit higher (31) But the itchy crawly title is what really caught my eye, as it sounds like the way I feel all the time now! I figured with the detoxing that my body was becoming way too overwhelmed, with hives, picking and itching all over etc plus agitated itchy nerve feelings internally. Overwhelmed b/c of Gilberts I think one, causing a much slower release of toxins..and therefore poisoning me in this way. - just my theory on how things have gone with me. But also Duncan I cannot find the start of this thread, it may have been in a different post where the person described their itchy crawly problems, if you know of it could you pass me the link - or better yet if those who were discussing that topic could also add some comments to me please? Thanks everyone, and Duncan for very sensitive individual with many allergies now, could you recommend a good glutatione one to try? I believe I reacted with lots of nervous agitation from glutamine, do you think it'll cause the same distress? Now that you know I have Gilberts please advise all you like! Appreciated very much, Tina > > > > > > Wow, this got my attention.. > > Is this for creepy crawly nerve agitation and body itching in general? > > (please say yes!). Guest guest
Mike, Do you also have the nerve pain of PHN? Is MSM helping with that too? Or have you just had the itching that it's helped with? My Dad has had severe PHN for 5 years now..it's totally debilitating and the pain is nonstop excruciating...no itching though. I'm glad this is helping you. Guest guest
Tina, a diet of meat, fat and cooked vegetables is very low in glutathione precursors, so it's no wonder you suspect that your phase II liver function, which relies on glutathione, may be impaired. I don't use salt at all in my diet except for casual exposure in processed food. Yup, I snack a bit but I salt my food with potassium because it's very likely to be deficient. Deficient potassium combined with high sodium salt is a pre-disease condition; it's actually precancerous as well as being a rhabdomyolysis risk. I didn't follow the first part of the thread either. I appreciate a proper diagnosis of symptoms because itchiness can be from a number of causes. But since you mentioned " allegies " , consider that most peoples' sensitivites and allergic responses that they weren't born with arise from bowel dysbiosis/candida, a huge source of toxin load. Toxin load, like any physical stressor, can make one agitated; this kind of response is very common as one of the first indicators of physical stress. I didn't suggest glutathione, I suggested glutathione precursors. A precursor is a raw material that can be made into something else. The glutathione precursors are plentiful in cold-processed whey and in 6 hour colostrum. You don't need extra glutamine with undenatured whey as it contains a lot of it. Inhibitors of Phase I Detoxification http://www.gilbertssyndrome.com/detoxification.php " Note: In general, inhibition of detoxification is not desired. In the case of Gilbert's Syndrome, there is an exception to Phase 1 inhibitors, as at a certain level it can allow Phase II detox to keep up with it. " http://tuberose.com/Liver_Detoxification.html Then I refer you again to the liver function chapter, which tells you which foods can suppress phase I function and which can improve phase II to keep up with it. http://members.shaw.ca/duncancrow/liver_function.html all good, Duncan > > > > > > > > > Wow, this got my attention.. > > > Is this for creepy crawly nerve agitation and body itching in general? > > > (please say yes!). Guest guest
Liz According to wiki ====================================================================== Postherpetic neuralgia (PHN) is a neuralgia caused by the varicella zoster virus. Typically, the neuralgia is confined to a dermatomic area of the skin and follows an outbreak of herpes zoster (HZ, commonly known as shingles) in that same dermatomic area. The neuralgia typically begins when the HZ vesicles have crusted over and begun to heal, but it can begin in the absence of HZ, in which case zoster sine herpete is presumed (see Herpes zoster). ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good news . The method I used was to use a product called Monolaurin(which is extracted fro vco here is the description ------------------------------------------------------------------- WHAT IS MONOLAURIN Monolaurin is an anti-microbial agent that may protect the immune system from a range of infectious agents. Monolaurin is a glyceride ester derivative of lauric acid, a fatty acid found naturally in breast milk and certain vegetable oils. This fatty acid has been used as a germicidal agent for centuries. Lauric acid was originally discovered when microbiologists studied human breast milk to determine the antiviral substances which protected infants from microbial infections. It has been shown to protect newborns, whose immune systems are underdeveloped, from Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and other respiratory tract viruses (1, 2, 18). Monolaurin was found to have even greater viral activity than lauric acid. Studies show that Monolaurin disintegrates the viral envelope, killing the virus (3). In studies performed at the Respiratory Virology Branch, Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta, Georgia, Monolaurin was found effective against 14 human RNA and DNA enveloped viruses in cell culture (3). These included influenza, RSV, Rubeola, Newcastle's, Coronavirus, Herpes Simplex types 1 & 2, Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and cytomegalovirus. (Monolaurin has no effect on naked viruses, such as polio, encephalitis virus, coxsachie, or pox viruses.). Monolaurin removed all measurable infectivity by disintegrating the virus envelope. IS MONOLAURIN AN ANTIBIOTIC No. Antibiotics kill unwanted micro-organisms, but they also kill many friendly micro-organisms. Monolaurin, on the other hand, does not appear to have an adverse effect on desirable digestive bacteria, but rather only on unwanted microorganisms. ------------------------------------------------------------ I also used vit c every half hour according to the below link http://www.orthomolecular.org/resources/omns/v01n05.shtml It took a couple of days to set in but the pain subsided so much so that within a week I was off pain meds and three days later when back to work. Duncan gave a very good explanation on the why it surfaced and I believe monolaurin destroyed the virus cells. long post hope it helps mike ps my local health food store had the monolaurin I was off pain meds

Guest guest
thanks Mike, so glad it worked so well for you! Guest guest
The glutathione precursors are bonded cysteine, or an amino acid cysteine bonded to another amino acid as opposed to free form, which is toxic. Raw egg whites are a good source but the dose would be roughly a kilo wet, perhaps 75 grams or so dry if it's 13% solids, not unlike whey powder. For the glutathione increase alone cystine is an option; it's cysteine bound to another cysteine. There are foods listed in the liver function article that support or tweak glutathione production; precursors must also be available for that production. SAM-e is a precursor. Alpha-lipoic acid helps to more quickly recycle glutathione used by the body so that can increase activity if not amount. N-acetylcysteine is a toxin but even so, part of the dose creates glutathione. Glutathione is broken down into its components in the digestive tract but if you use enteric coated your bowel lining cells will get some of it, while liposomal glutathione is said to enter the bloodstream and a couple of cell types can use it directly if it does. Acquired intolerances are usually diet-related and dysbioisis-related, and the inulin, selenium and glutathione precursors will be core therapies. all good, Duncan > > > Hey Duncan thanks, do those precursors come in non dairy form? Guest guest
Just a word for people with itching, but usually after bathing. Guest guest
Hi Tina, the itching is fairly consistent after showering with untreated Polycythemia. It's a very rare disorder so unlikely many would have it, but it often goes undiagnosed as in my case.
