Guest guest
I think I know how you are feeling, I have major depression and some days my only exercise is going to the bathroom and back, like you I also have 4-legged furry responsibilities, they have pulled me thru more then once!. So very fortunate I am to have a dear friend who lives in my apartment complex and on my worst days she helps me out by walking my dogs. I don't know what I'd do without her. You brought up many great points in your post, I'm not a PT but my PT got on to me for avoiding therapy on the days I thought I was not up to it. He very firmly reminded me " if you don't use it you will lose it " . I have a friend who only missed a couple weeks of therapy and ended up back in the hospital having a manipulation under general anesthesia because she lost ROM - extention - during that time. That really scared me! I mentioned in a previous post that it was suggested to me to wear sporting shoe cleets (spelling?) on icy sidewalks. Wear them when walking then change into regular shoes after. Just a suggestion that was mentioned to me. By the way, I bet your dog is beautiful!! My brother in law has one and she has the best personality. She thinks she is a lap dog and crawls into every ones lap when they sit down. Greyhounds have such beautiful faces! Best of luck, God Blesses, Lynette HAPPY NEW YEAR
