Guest guest
You can get a glass measuring cup at your local walmart or kroger in the houseware isle. ________________________________ From: Lyn K <godisbest4me@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Thu, January 20, 2011 11:25:01 AM Subject: Re: Re: coconut oil  Where did you find a glass measuring cup? I have tried two kinds of metal cups mysef. The first one went rancid quickly. But then I used one from a set that I hope to believe are stainless steel, and that seems to be ok, at least so far. I have also used a shot glass, but that was messy. See, one particular way I use the oil is in a Tbsp. I put the oil in a spoon and then I pull apart my supplement capsules and put the powder into the oil. That is how I take them. So I would really like something that does not drip. My real desire is that I can find a small glass pump bottle, like a foundation bottle or a little bigger. This would be less messy to me. But I am curious about knowing who makes glass measuring cups. I have never seen glass. ________________________________ From: Laurie Adler <92adler@...> Coconut Oil Sent: Thu, January 20, 2011 11:15:25 AM Subject: Re: Re: coconut oil  I heat my VCO in a glass measuring cup on a candle warmer-takes about 10 minutes. I then use the oil for oil-pulling, also in my morning breakfast drink. The bottle I used was a heavy thick shatter-resistant plastic, but it still turned rancid. So I have been looking for a ceramic or glass pump bottle, but have not found one that I like yet. ________________________________ From: moontidearts <moontidearts@... <mailto:moontidearts%40hotmail.com> > Coconut Oil <mailto:Coconut Oil%40> Sent: Wed, January 19, 2011 9:02:50 PM Subject: Re: coconut oil  It's true that the oil will last for years. My last 50 pound can is still fresh, and I bought that 4 years ago (I use this one for my ointments at my shop). It will, however, quickly turn rancid if you put your fingers in it, as I did with the jar I keep in the bathroom for my hair, skin and oil pulling. After dipping in with my fingers, that I was certain were clean, the oil had that rancid stink in just a couple of weeks...So be certain to use a clean spoon.
