Guest guest
If you're broke it's hard to justify buying the conoisseur oil from QFI when even refined deodorised copra oil will suffice health-wise. here's the link; the site is being re-vamped and you may need to email vinia: sales@... site: http://qualityfirst.on.ca MCT oil is such a health food that it's worth the $15.66 or more per quart. I got mine from: http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/now/mctoil.html all good, Duncan > > Where does one purchase this oil and also MCT oil. I have limited amount of funds for supplements and such, so I don't want to waste the money. I am at a stand-still due to uncertainty of the quality of so many brands. Please, can someone advise me? Thank you all. >
Guest guest
na, I don't know how to purchase quality first oil, but if you are open to other brands of coconut oil EXTRA VIRGIN ORGANIC COCONUT OIL is your best bet. As for MCT oil - most people on the forum use NOW MCT oil. Try local first since you never used it before (if you are worried you might not like it) maybe health food store, vitamin shop, or even Walmart. Online stores are amazon, vitacost, swanson. Vitacost and swanson charge $5 shipping. Amazon is free over $25 order if they sell it themselves. This coconut oil is on sale at Amazon -- but you need $25 order for free ship http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Way-Organic-Coconut-Ounce/dp/B003B3OOPA/ref=sr_1_1\ ?m=ATVPDKIKX0DER & s=hpc & ie=UTF8 & qid=1314999469 & sr=1-1 Nutiva is another good quality coconut oil with good prices. > > Where does one purchase this oil and also MCT oil. Guest guest
First I want to thank all who responded to my post- " Thank you " I have found Tropical Tradition coconut oil locally and have ordered the Now brand of MCT OIL. I don't really like the coconut oil and find it hard to get it down. I am mixing it with peanut butter, cocoa powder and xylitol. I am taking it in the morning on an empty stomach, about 2TBS of the blend. Am I doing it OK, or am I doing something wrong? It is very unpleasant in my throat. I am trying to increase the amount of coconut oil, but not having a lot of success. Did I just get an off brand? Thank you, Artielle > > na, > > I don't know how to purchase quality first oil, but if you are open to other brands of coconut oil > EXTRA VIRGIN ORGANIC COCONUT OIL is your best bet. Guest guest
If you eat stuff like oatmeal, you can mix coconut oil in it. You can add the MCT to any cold food like yogurt or a salad, but I would think you need warm food for the VCO. I have used MCT as the oil part of Oil and Vinegar dressing. Tastes great. I do prefer mixing the MCT in food, but I don't have a problem taking it straight. I also cook with VCO and like the taste of the brand I now use which is Artisana. It is really light. You can also mix both VCO and MCT in to a protein or green drink. Let your imagination soar... Guest guest
Hi Artielle, You might want to start out more slowly - 1 tsp at a time and NOT on an empty stomach. You can mix with food, or in tea or coffee right after a meal. It sometimes takes the digestive system a while to adjust to larger amounts. Same with the MCT oil when it arrives. Some have reported a jittery feeling from MCT in the beginning if you start out with too much. Guest guest
Dee is right, I was flying on that stuff, MCT oil. I started out with 3 or 4 tbs a day.. way too much. Start out with 1 tbs a day, with food.... Tropical Traditions is not an off brand, I have used it, I just like the Artisana the best so far.
