Unfortunately its the White house and they can't pass anything and right now

they are not doing to good a job convincing congress, which does pass laws, into

doing anything.

Now the White House can change many of the regulations by executive fiat,

bypassing congress, but I don't know if raw milk fall into that category.

So we will see.... although if a petition had overwhelming support they could

sent it to congress...

Recently the gov started a website where anyone can create a petition for

anything. If that petition gets 5000 (digital) signatures, they look at passing

it into law, just like any petition.

Thanks for the heads up Leah. Great idea. I just signed up and there are lots of

other good petitions there as well. We can't allow ourselves to be discouraged

by the gridlock in Washington. Change happens when people make their voices

heard. It isn't easy and it sometimes takes a long time but giving up is not the

answer. Btw, we watched the documentary Run Granny Run (about Granny D) last

night and it is truly inspiring. That lady was AMAZING!

I searched the site for " milk " , and came up with nothing. Also I tried

filtering by issue (both searching and filtering before I was able to find

it), it's not in any of three categories of issues that it actually IS

under (agriculture, health care, and human rights). This should be fixed,

somehow; otherwise, how are people supposed to find this petition?
