Guest guest
Is the vanadium combined with the Chromium or is it separate? I take chromium, selenium. Do you have a good source for undenatured whey and is it combined with selenium or separate? THANKS for the response. Suej -- diabetes treatment besides diet and exercise Yes, SueJ, there are a few ways to address diabetes besides diet and exercise. Chromium with a touch of vanadium increases insulin sensitivity, the herb gymnema sylvestris regenerates pancreatic islets of Langerhans including beta cells, and undenatured whey and selenium, along with other antioxidants, reduces the rampant oxidative stress and continual free radical damage. all good, Duncan > >> > Any advice other than diet & exercise? Guest guest
I would like to address the whey in this comment. I started making my own ricotta cheese for our little restaurant. The whey it produces is what I add to my yogurt (all natural)each AM. The process is simple - 1 gal WHOLE milk - SLOWLY heat to 185degrees F (15-20min) take off heat Add salt to taste if desired (opt)or any other seasonings Add 1/2c white vinegar - give gentle stir then LEAVE ALONE for 1/2hr Using a long knife - cut squares (horizontal then verticle)through the curds (DO NOT STIR) Pour into cheesecloth lined collander (saving the whey in another pot) Let the cheese hang over dish overnight. Un-cloth in morning - voila I put the whey into ice trays and they give my smoothy an 'ice cream' conistancy. Since I make this cheese quite often, I have excess whey. This I feed to my cats, dogs, chickens, and as a replacer for water/milk in recipes. > > > >> > > Any advice other than diet & exercise? Guest guest
SueJ, you can buy vanadium mixed with chromium or by itself. No difference, mixing your own. I've never seen an undenatured whey with selenium in it but it's possible that one exists. The one I have now I bought via Thrifty Foods, Xtreme Power Whey from New Zealand. It comes as Natural or flavoured and sweetened. all good, Duncan > > Is the vanadium combined with the Chromium or is it separate? I take > chromium, selenium. Guest guest
Suej, My MD/Integrative made me take DIAXINOL a product of Orthomolecular. It has herbs that help with diabetes as well as alpha lipoic acid, vanadium, etc. Do a search on it. I take it with mhy glucophage twice a day. I also take moringa tea with turmeric root, cinnamon (ceylon) stick, lemongrass, ginger. Then i put it in a cup and add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, cinnamon (ceylon) powder 1/8 tsp, a dash of black pepper and cayenne pepper powder just a bit as i do not like it too hot. This helps me keep my diabetes at bay. > > Is the vanadium combined with the Chromium or is it separate? I take > chromium, selenium. You would have to drink many many gallons of homemade whey to even begin to approach the benefits of whey isolates.
