I have not ordered my first container of virgin coconut oil, but I want to

consume some amount daily to raise my HDL. It is currently around 40 or 44, and

my goal is to boost it to 60.

Several web pages mention taking 4 tbsp of virgin coconut oil per day. Does

this seem excessive? If I took 4 tbsp/day, then a one gallon container would

last me about 61 days (2 months).

One person on a web site claims he stepped up his consumption from 4 tbsp and 6

tbsp per day, and the trainers at his fitness center could not figure out how he

put on additional chest muscle mass without working out.

What dose do you take and how much would you recommend I take?

Usual doses of Coconut Oil are 1-3 Tablespoons per day. Most usually start at

1/2 or 1 TBSP and work up. I feel I can get benefits on 2 TBSP per day and save

some money. A great site for Coconut Oil articles & information is from the main

man himself, author of many CO books Bruce Fife. His website -

http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/

Did you know? One Gallon of Coconut Oil contains 256 Tablespoons.
