Guest guest
We are looking into school districts that have good autism programs in their schools. Would like feedback on Mayfield, Beachwood and Solon school districts. Also would like to learn about other districts in the eastern suburbs of Cleveland that have good autism programs. Much appreciated - we are looking to move next year and are investigating school districts now. Gail
Guest guest
Gail, there is a place called "Integration Treatment Center" (I think in Mayfield, I am not 100% positive, but over that way) and the program director is Lynn Scotese-Wotilja. She is an SLP who comes to the schools (or you can do a summer program with her at the Center, employed there are SLP, OT, PT, etc. and they all work together) to set up programs based on the kids' needs and uses a holistic approach: she suggests everyone who works with your child be on the same page, doing things the same way. I do know there was a grant they were awarded this year for teacher training, you may want to call the center and find out which schools were involved in that, as I cannot remember what she told me. Her number is 216-763-7600. Good luck with that fine boy of yours,,,,,he amazes me.....Cheri****
Guest guest
Hi Gail, We have a good special needs pre-school for kids upto Kindergarden in my area. They have a special autism program along with other special needs classes for other children. The school also takes in neurotypical siblings. I don't know about other school systems. Let me know if you want more info on the pre-school. ~n > We are looking into school districts that have good autism programs > in their schools. > > Would like feedback on Mayfield, Beachwood and Solon school > districts.
