Good for a lot of things.

I was taking it for back pain and noticed the patches of psoriasis on

my elbows disappeared.

I am hoping for pain relief and reduction of inflammation. Anything else will

be a bonus. Already gave up the gluten and dairy, so lets hope MSM helps.

Subject: Why MSM?

I've noticed a lot of talk about MSM here...I was wondering what people are

generally taking it for? Is it mainly for arthritis/pain? Is there any reason

someone w/out arthritis or pain should take it? I used to have lots of joint

pains and headaches before I cut out dairy (casein) and gluten...since then,

none at all unless I eat something I shouldn't...for me the joint pain stopped

w/ cutting out dairy (I cheat w/ dairy, never w/ gluten - and I feel the

punishment if I overdo it!), but I have a friend who cut out gluten and got rid

of her severe arthritis in her hands.

I'd say yes, I'd still take it even if I had no current symptoms -

remember, 'symptom free' doesn't automatically mean you are the epitome

of health. But, if you have no symptoms you are treating, then you

probably don't need the extremely high therapeutic doses we are talking

about either... I'd say 5-10 grams per day would be a good 'maintenance'

dose for general health, and just ramp it up if you ever need to.

Another good time to ramp up would be pre-surgery, pre-triathlon, etc -

ie, prior to anything that you know will be stressful to your body,

especially your joints.

Hi All:

Again, I'd say that Tans is right on, but who is counting? There is no

such thing as " the body having too much organic sulfur " by all current

information (and Dr. Seneff concurs, so far, on the Mercola interview).

One thing for certain, t we know that there is definitely such a thing

as a deficiency. Since no one that I know of has ever done theraputic

amounts of MSM over a long period other than the guy who turned me onto

it, his family, and myself, it is still to early to say for certain if

there is an upper limit, but I do know that neither my wife nor myself

has ever encountered it. But give me feedback like some here have

done. I want to know. One thing that I can see is that separating the

toxin release problem from a reaction problem will always be difficult.

I find that if I skip it for more than three or four days, however, all

hell begins to break loose. And some of those who suffer from joint

pain and arthritis know exactly what I mean.

By the way, my health wizard/ radionics guru/ friend and I are working

on a supercharged version of MSM, as we speak and expect to start

trials within a month or so. Of course, I will be one of my first

subjects. I eventually plan to market it, but have far too many projects

to say for certain. It should be good. I'll keep you informed.

Kind Regards,

Jim

Thanks for the info everyone! I may wait till I have had a chance to chelate

mercury w/ DMSA before taking it, but will certainly look into MSM in the

future!
