What kind of iodine did you use and how often did you paint it?

Mole Removal

I had a nasty-looking mole on the top of my right hand; I began painting it with iodine about three months ago........ it's gone! I can feel just a little raised place across where it was, so I continue painting, hoping it'll soon be smooth also!Norma

Please can someone explain how iodine would remove a mole?

Would it work on those crusty brown moles that are sometimes due to liver congestion and toxicity/? would a person get too much iodine if they painted it on to the mole daily?

thankyou

Would this work with any moles? I have lots of the flat brown ones.

How often do you apply the iodine and for how long?

Don't need to be lugol as it is used on the outside. Regular iodine

found in drugstore, 2% or 5%

The way I understand it, with any product to try and remove moles or

warts, you need to lightly scratch or file the mole or wart to enable

the iodine or acv to penetrate it and allow it to go to work.

Apparently, it won't get to the " root " if it can't get past the outer

layer(s).

=====================

My husband had a good size dark mole removed from his neck with bloodroot with

DSMO. It left a bruising effect for about 4 months, but now there's no

discoloration or sign of the mole.

I've heard of iodine working as well, but haven't tried it. It might be easier

than the bloodroot, as the mole area looks pretty nasty after a few days with

bloodroot.

Before

you use the iodine or other removal agents, you need to lightly file (I used an

emery board) or scratch the mole first. You are removing a thin layer of skin

or two in order to allow the agent to infiltrate the mole and get to the root. This

should also work for warts.

We used lugol's to get rid of a very large wart on my husbands foot. It

took a while but took care of it nicely. No filing was necessary for the

wart. I would not have any qualms using it on a toddler.

A long time ago, my mother had a mole removed. The doctor tied a

thread around it at the base pretty tight, I think, and it eventually

fell off. Maybe one could do that, then treat anything left with

iodine. I never tried it as I never had a mole, I'm afraid.

Hey mine lightened quite a bit, but the really dark ones are still

there. I have been taking 50mg Iodoral every day for about a year and

a half now. I am covered in the darn things. Kind of like Larry the

Cable Guys sister. :-D But my skin tags are going away.

First of all, I am fairly new, and I am thrilled with this group. There are so

many knowledgable people, and I am learning a great deal. My question: I read

on Dr. Fife's site some testimonials about using coconut oil to remove warts.

Does anyone know if this works for moles? I had two moles biopsied and was told

they are " changing " and could lead to melanoma, and should be removed. Not only

do I not have medical insurance, but I'm not sure I trust the doctor. If

coconut oil would not be used, does anyone know of other methods to safely

remove moles? Thanks you....Melinda

Oregano Essential Oils works. It's a hot oil, so you'll want to add olive

oil or coconut oil.

Actually I just bought some Oil of Oregano.  Do have any idea of the ratio of

olive or coconut oil to oregano oil I should use?  Thanks for the

information.....Melinda

I would put a drop of Oregano directly on the wart. If it burns, apply a

couple of drops of olive or coconut oil. Depends on how sensitive your skin

is.

Hi Deb....this is a mole, not a wart, but I assume that doesn't make a

difference?  I'll give it a try ....thanks so much.....Melinda

Coconut oil can be used to remove warts and moles. The best way to do this

is to keep the coconut oil in contact with the wart as long as possible.

Soak a piece of cotton cloth in coconut oil and place it on the wart and

keep it moist and on the wart all day, at least 12 hours. Repeat every day

until the wart is gone. A drop or two of oregano oil mixed into the coconut

oil may be helpful as well. For very hard warts I suggest roughing up the

surface of the wart with an emery board before applying the oil, this will

allow the oil to penetrate deeper into the wart and give faster results. It

may take a couple of weeks or more but once the wart is gone, it is gone for

good.

I'm not sure this would work for moles, but it worked for skin tags I had on my

neck. I used the liquid bandaid and after a week or so of applying it they just

fell off.
