Desperately Need Child Care Resource

Hello all,

What does a parent of an autistic child do when they need child

care? I have a 5 year old autistic son that needs child care after

he goes to preschool. He has been asked to leave from three

providers in the past year due to his (typically autistic)

behavior. I am working with Starting Point/TAP and my support

person at CCMRDD is aware of my situation. Is there really no

resource available for autistic kids other than to have them bounce

from day care to day care? Is it possible to find funding for an

aid that can help him in daycare? I have had no success in finding

anyone qualified to watch him at home either.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
