Guest guest
Hello all. Just wanted to share-my cat was " diagnosed " last year with gingivo-stomata-titis(or something like that-the vet said it so fast)a progressive disease of the gums which would necessitate pulling all of her teeth (she was 3 at the time). I started smoothing coconut oil on her gums every morning-she hates it, but hasn't figured out how to effectively hide from me. We went to the vet on Saturday, and he said he saw NO evidence of the disease. I told him about the oil, and he said hey, if it works, great! But then he said he couldn't recommend it because he doesn't have scientific evidence for it. (And probably somebody would sue him if it didn't work). Also, Princess' coat is thick, full, and oh so soft-and her weight has actually gone down from last year. So don't be afraid to use coconut oil on your pets.
