Guest guest
I had a long and varied experience with excema. Skin docs tried to prescribe topical stuff which helped in the short run... I also found that ice or snow (topically) was good to qwell the itch... A naturopath doc said it was from leaky gut syndrome... You can search that to learn more... In the end I found that some foods that I liked were big offenders... so you may want to keep a food diary...and eliminate things w/ MSG / sulfates / sulfites / and other preservaqtives.  Ham lunch meat - even the more expensive brands were producing an itch w/in an hour or 2  of ingesting it...I eliminated it from my diet and low and behold it is all healed...another offender was flavored cream for coffee - too many preservatives... I think good eating habits are paramount to getting over this...and also good gut flora in the gut.. good probiotics can help with that...ones that can survive stomach acid ~ most cannot and are rendered of little use to the body. If you need suggestions for kinds and brands let me know... d From: Tim and <tacbed@...> Subject: eczema on lower leg Coconut Oil Date: Monday, March 14, 2011, 11:47 AM  I have some eczema on my lower leg. Guest guest
Thanks Don. I just started using a probiotic, L. Reuteri, by Natures Way. Which ones do you recommend? Guest guest
Good point - -rashes are often the result of bowel dysbiosis. The toxin load does it I think. Eczema can be a lot of things; rashes often go down immediately with an ozone steam sauna, which might indicate a reduction in toxins near the skin. all good, Duncan > > > > > > > I have some eczema on my lower leg. Guest guest
Hi Tina, My childhood eczema returned on my lower legs after getting pregnant with my first child in 2002. It then spread to my wrists, hands, eyelids and lips. I have tried many remedies in the past, from prescribed to folk, and the thing that has worked is eating raw foods, especially green smoothies. May be something you want to look into. It worked for me, Kelli

Guest guest
Kelli, So your diet consistedly mainly of " raw foods, especially green smothies. " What was the source of your protein? Guest guest
Benny, To tell you the truth the itching was so frustrating that at first I didn't even think about balance. But I did eat lots of sprouts, avocados and nuts/seeds, which happen to be protien sources. Of course, it's hard to be completely raw and I do have mishaps which always seem to revolve around something smelling great off the grill ! If I add too much cooked foods back into my diet, I can immediately feel it in my hands and around my eyes. Unless I can convince my hubby and kids to jump on the bandwagon, this will probably never be a permenant lifestyle change, but it has helped me to manage and function where before my hands would get so swollen and painful at night I could not get my rings off. Probably TMI, but I had a orange/banana/cuke/parsley smoothie for breakfast this morning and I'm still bubbling over with energy Have a great day! Guest guest
It seems the application of acidic solutions on skin issues is highly regarded in alt-health and even historic alt-health. Of note, a Russian fella I communicated with ten years ago told me the villagers make " living " (alkaline) and " dead " (acidic) water using electrolysis in a washtub, I figure something like a home made " water charger " , using the alkaline water internally and the acidic water on the plants or to get rid of infections and skin issues, whiith " excellent " results. I can't make a call on the validity, just noting that it's in use. A lot of acids are used on the skin; vinegar (vinegar, acetic acid) is mentioned, and lemon juice (citric acid), and butyric acid, which is used to " cure " crohn's disease, may be a good start too. Butyric and acetic acids are entirely natural acids in the bowel, actually used as food by the lining. An acidic solution is better than an alkaline solution anyway; make it about 5.5-6.5 pH. all good, Duncan > > Hi Tina, > > On this website http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/eczema.html they list coconut oil and apple cider vinegar as cures. > > >
Guest guest
In the interim, would application of colloidal silver on the affected area help? Guest guest
Never tried CS on eczema. Funny thing is about colloidal silver is some of its actions apear to come around because it is ionic. Several people reported settling of stomach gas and queasiness, not bad for a water/silver solution measured in parts per million. For an extermnal application you can make it pretty strong if you have the gear. all good, Duncan > > > > > > Hi Tina, > > > > > > On this website http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/eczema.html they list coconut oil and apple cider vinegar as cures. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
